Even with its flaws, this one is a winner

While this toy is hard to use in my hand, it's great to use by 'riding it' on a pillow or chair. Between the functions and awesome length for my body, this is something I'm glad to have around. Even though it has some flaws, this toy would be good for men and women alike and has enough power that most people will be content. In total, this toy isn't perfect but it's certainly worth the price.

Use

This toy is a dual-stimulation vibrator, meaning that the vibrations are meant to travel through the shaft and attachment to stimulate two areas at once. Though this is the main purpose, often these sorts of toys have more than one use.

If you're inserting this vaginally, there's pretty much no way to not get this to also stimulate your labia and clitoris. There is a 'mini penis' shaft that comes out of the center of the butterfly. While it does have a g-spot curve this toy is not ideal for thrusting and is not very long, so it may not rock everyones socks off.

You also can use this toy externally only, but the best way to do this is to use the tip of the shaft. The base is a bit uncomfortable to hold, but it's good for fairly pinpoint clitoral stimulation. You also could use this on the nipples, balls, or shaft, but I personally didn't like these uses.

Because of the design this toy is 100% anal safe. The g-spot curve would be good for prostate stimulation, and on top of that the butterfly would certainly make it interesting. Because of the design this wouldn't be very comfortable to use as a plug for long term wear.

If you're looking to get your first toy as a couple, this would be okay. It is cheap and made of a good material, but it's not super good for teasing and foreplay. It's not the best design to be used clitorally during sex or to aid in oral.

If you want a first toy in general this wouldn't be a bad option. It's kind of cute, quiet, cheap, is a good material, and has a ton of settings. It's a great size for vaginal use if you're new to toys, but it may not be the best shape for people just getting into anal play.

This toy 100% passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. It's easy to care for and small, which makes it easy to tuck away into a small storage space. It's also waterproof and very quiet, which means that you don't have to worry about anyone overhearing the vibrations in another room.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of silicone and plastic. The wire is made of metal, but that metal isn't exposed anywhere, so that doesn't affect the care and use of the toy. Both silicone and plastic are stellar materials for all users.

Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's nonporous and body safe, meaning that bacterial can't colonize inside of the toy and that it won't leak any gross materials into your body. Silicone is soft and flexible, and is usually matte. You can disinfect silicone by boiling it.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale, and is also nonporous and body safe. Plastic is very rigid, and is usually smooth and shiny. While silicone can be boiled, plastic can only be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution. Because of the plastic components on this toy you can't boil it.

While this silicone portions do have more drag than the plastic portions, this toy still doesn't NEED lube. If you warm up before insertion it can be used without it, but some people may still prefer the slippery feel of extra lubrication.

This toy had a tiny bit of scent out of the box, but I think that it was just the bag it came in. After washing there was no scent, and it has not retained a scent after several uses.

There is little actual texture on this toy. There are a few ridges on the shaft, where the 'head' of the small penis is, but the wings and body of the butterfly are smooth. If you hate texture this toy should be fine for you to use, and the smoothness is what makes it useable without lube.

In total, this toy is made of great materials. The silicone and plastic would be great for all users, and it's nice that lube is not a must when inserting the Love Rider. It also comes in pink and black, so there are options for people who don't like 'girly' colors.
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this is certainly odd, but it's very effective. It's a bit more phallus shaped than most toys I've owned, but at the same time it's more whimsical than a lot of my toys, too. If you can get past the weird 'that bug has a penis' thing, this is great to use.

Despite it seeming to be a bit unwieldy, once you get it in place you can play entirely hands free. It's designed to be 'sat on' and ridden, hence the name. I found that the best way to do this was on a chair or straddling a pillow, but you could also use it laying on your belly or on the edge of the tub. I suppose you could also do this on your partner, but that is a bit odd.

The 'penis' on this toy is very short, and is about 3 inches long. It's got a g-spot curve, but if your g-spot is farther than 3 inches in you'll be out of luck. The penis does look a bit realistic, despite being stuck to a butterfly, and even has ridges along the shaft.

The shaft is also only 4 inches wide. The dimensions are MUCH smaller than the average penis, so unless you prefer little toys this may not be for you.

While the shaft is small compared to a lot of toys, the butterfly is more than large enough. The wings easily cover the sensitive parts of my labia and the butterfly 'nose' sticks out about .25 of an inch past my clit.

Even though the butterfly is about 3 inches by 3 inches, it has much more length in the front than the back. This means that you don't get stimulation of the g-spot, clit, AND anus, but just the first two. I didn't find this to be an issue, but some might.

The cord is also 2 feet long. When riding this I didn't need much more than that, and I think that a longer cord would be more likely to get in the way, but I can certainly see situations where this would be a problem, especially if you were trying to use it by laying on your stomach.

Even though it's got a butterfly, if you leave this out it's very obvious what it is. No one's going to overlook the giant butterfly penis in the room. While you can't leave it on your desk, this is small enough to make it easy to stash in an overnighter or suitcase for travel.

In total, this toy will be great for some people but not others. If you like girthy toys or have a g-spot deeper than 3 inches this will probably be a huge disappointment, and if you need Pure Wand type pressure internally it's going to not do a good job. On the other hand, if you like less intense g-spot stimulation and smaller toys, this is great for dual stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy has quite a few awesome features and settings, and it also has a few flaws. In total I am very happy with the power and variety of this toy, and it would be great for both advanced users and people just starting out with toys. It's also waterproof, so you can use this in the tub or shower.

You control this toy with the small remote attached to the butterfly by a cord. The remote is black with a silver control panel, and is super easy to hold. There are two buttons on the remote, a power button and a settings button. You turn it on with the power button, and then change the settings by pressing the settings button. The settings are as follows:

1) Low (.5 bees, 1.5 vroom)
2) Medium (2 vrooms, 1 bee)
3) High (3.5 vrooms, 2 bees)
4) BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
5) bb bB BZ ZZ ZZZZZZ
6) BZZZZZ BZZZZZ BZZZZZ
7) BZ BZ BZ BZ BZZZZ

If you press the settings button again it cycles down to the first setting again. To turn this toy off you just have to press the power button. When you turn the toy back on it starts off again at setting number one, low.

The vibrations on this toy are actually pretty rumbly, which is great for me. Even though they aren't the deepest out there, they're great if you like rumbly toys and are on a budget.

The motor in this toy is located in the tip of the shaft. This is great if you like rumbly internal toys, but it also means that the vibrations are considerably weaker in the 'butterfly' portion. I would have preferred it the other way around, but it was still a great toy.

Ont thing that does bug me about this toy is that there is no good place to hold it where your hand doesn't get vibrated. While my fingers didn't go numb, it was a but annoying to have to hold the butterfly and feel my fingers get buzzed. Because of that the only way I could really use it was hands free.

In total, this toy is easy to control and has quite a few settings. It's also rumbly and pretty powerful, and it's quiet enough that you won't be heard through a door or wall. If I could hold this and use it I'd like it more, but it's still getting a lot of use by me.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This toy is fairly easy to clean and store, but not the best. When it comes to cleaning this toy, the ridges of the penis do take a bit more time to clean than a totally smooth toy would. Other than that, you just rise this toy and let it dry. I wash mine with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but soap and water or a toy wipe also work well. It attracts lint, and it seems that even putting on my powder makeup within a few feet of it will get it dirty, so you should ideally wash it both before and after every use.

You can disinfect this toy with a 10% bleach solution. This should be done every time you switch users or orifices to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection. You can't boil this toy because of the plastic components.

Other than being a lint magnet, this toy is pretty easy to store. It's a good size to stash in a drawer or toss into a box with other toys. To be on the safe side you should not store this with other silicone toys as the two can react together and leave you sad. Similarly you should avoid using silicone lube with this toy.

Packaging

The packaging for this toy is VERY basic. It's a cardboard box, and inside of the box is the toy. The toy comes wrapped in a foam-plastic bag, but there's nothing else in the box. There are also no additional instructions in there, but I didn't find I needed them.

The front of the box states that it's silicone, the name of the toy, and has an image of it. The majority of the front is white and undecorated, making it seem a bit cheap. On the other hand, there are no naked women or lewd sayings on the front of the box. It does that that this is a 'strap on' toy, which it is not, but that's also pretty easy to see from the image.

The back of the box has some minimal instructions and information. It has no real graphics or anything on it, and it's not trying to show off the toy. It's very straight forward.

While this isn't good for storage, as it's way larger than the toy itself, it wouldn't be too bad to wrap up and give as a gift. It's not very lewd, but it is pretty obvious what you're getting as soon as you see the image of the toy.

Experience

I got this toy entirely on a whim. I was browsing through the new products page, presumably looking for something else, and saw this. It seemed strange, but I had the points and felt like adding something else to my order. While this isn't the holy grail of vibrators, I'm glad to have it around.

One thing that I can't do with other toys is to insert them entirely and grind against the base. I find inserting anything more than 4 inches uncomfortable most of the time, especially if it has a g-spot curve to it, so even my neat Tantus toys were too large.

This toy is an AWESOME length to insert entirely for me. I have a fairly shallow g-spot that this was fairly efficient at stimulating, and I really liked the moderate vibrations in the butterfly part. If I could change one thing about this toy I would make it less gross looking. I can't stand looking at it on my desk, it just weirds me out having a butterfly with a giant phallus sitting there, and this is coming from a girl who was okay using the Tentacle JR.

If you like small, thin toys and like 'riding' things, this is a great toy. It's made of a nice material and is certainly an interesting design, but I personally can't hold it and use it because it vibrates my fingers too much. Because of the few flaws I am giving this toy a 4 out of 5 stars.

Yeah, the black one is especially disconcerting looking! Reminds me of the Rorschach test and I'm seeing a bat, not a butterfly Thanks for both the written & video review. I'm want to try it.
