If you have never used ben wa balls before, I suggest starting out with a product that has an attached removal system first. These are wonderful for strengthening your vaginal muscles and providing stimulation, but I would recommend this set for people who are familiar with the feeling and technique that comes with using loose ben wa balls.

Being made of glass allows for an incredibly smooth insert and exit. The lack of texture also makes it easy for the balls to slide around to different parts of your vaginal cavity allowing you to get a nice workout throughout the area. If you choose to use them during intercourse, be mindful that your partner doesn't go thrusting away from the start. You should ease into the process slowly to make sure the balls aren't stacked funny as they can bruise your cervix and other sensitive areas depending on your partner's size.

The size of these balls is smaller than some which makes them nice if you want to use them while doing chores around the house or going for a drive. Like my kegel exercises, I play a game with them and focus on doing as many squeeze-and-hold patterns as I can at red lights.

Because of their small size I wouldn't recommend them for anal use. It's one thing to put them into your vaginal canal that is closed at the upper end and putting them into your anal cavity where they can possibly get lost.

These adorable Crystal Balls are made of Pyres glass. This material is known for being non-porous, latex and phthalates free, as well as hypo-allergenic. They are very smooth to the touch and have no smell or taste. The glass creates a unique sensation when you squeeze your muscles against the balls. The texture and materials are great for beginning users, but the size and lack of attachments for retrieval should really be reserved for more advanced users.

There is an adorable pink heart in the center of each ball. I don't think I have ever put anything so cute in my body before. I have not tried other types of beads so I can not compare these to other styles. I can say that these do accomplish their design very well. I have noticed since I have started using them that my vaginal muscles are stronger. Not only can I better maneuver the balls around but my husband says that he notices a positive difference in our play sessions.

As far as size goes, they seem to be similar to the size of a small to medium string of anal beads. I haven't tried anything bigger but I would imagine that the smaller the beads, the more your muscles need to work at moving them around. I do think that the size is great for all users, again with the caution that beginners may want to start with something that has a retrieval cord attached.

Even if you keep the balls in the box they come in they travel easily. If you want to keep them in your purse you can always transfer them into a small pouch for more discretion. If anyone were to find your balls and didn't recognize them as ben wa balls, you could pass them off as Chinese stress balls, without the chimes. To pull it off simply put both balls in the palm of your hand and twist them around each other with your fingers...poof...stress balls.

I think the best feature of this set is the material it's made from. I am a huge fan of all toys glass and to have glass that actually exercises your female parts is a total bonus.

I think that having a retrieval cord attached would be a nice addition as more people, beginners alike, would feel more comfortable in trying these. It is an intimidating idea to send two small, loose balls into your body. Still, I recommend these for those who are experienced in how to use them and even those that are not familiar with them, but understand how their body works and feel experimental.

Glass products are non-porous and very easy to care for. The Crystal Balls should be washed before and after each use. A simple cleanse with soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner will do the trick. You can also boil the balls for two to three minutes if you'd like to sterilize them that way. The Crystal Balls can be used with silicone, oil, and water based lubes.

The Crystal Balls come packaged in their own cute heart shaped tin boxes. The boxes have a plastic insert in the bottom portion that has two divots that the balls fit snuggly into. The plastic insert is covered in a satin material to prevent the balls from becoming scratched or damaged. The balls with the heart in the middle come in a pink box and the ones with the butterflies come in a purple box.
