I've been wanting some vaginal balls to exercise with for ages. Basically, ever since I heard of such things. I've also been wanting to experiment with glass toys. So when I saw these new and un-reviewed (at the time) Crystal Balls on one of many leisurely searches through the site, I knew I had met my match.

But when they arrived, I have to admit, I was a bit bewildered that there were no instructions. I mean, even tampons have instructions and they're one of the most self-explanatory products I can think of. But none here. Well, I sort of generally got the point, put them in and move them around with your vaginal muscles, right? I'd read about people leaving them in while doing household chores and the like. Sounded pretty un-scary, and given that I use a menstrual cup I'm pretty familiar with the muscles in my vagina, so figured I'd just give it a go.

So I popped them out of the tin they come in (nice touch I thought) and washed them and my hands with some warm soapy water. Since these are made of glass that's all you need to keep them clean, but you can also use mild disinfectant if you prefer. I have to admit I also admired them a bit while washing, they really are quite cute, I love the butterfly and the smooth smooth smoothness of the glass.

I decided to get in the tub and relax first, and after a while of soaking I slowly popped one of the balls in, using my vaginal muscles to pull it inside. Cool, so far so good. I popped that one back out and suddenly realized how strippers must have figured out that whole ping pong ball trick for bachelor parties...

Excited to show my husband my new trick, I put in both balls and went out to the bed. Well, in the time it took me to stand up and walk through our tiny studio to our bed, the balls got sucked up rather far into my vagina. I was really surprised when I couldn't pop even the lower one right out like I had in the tub. But eventually I did work it out just fine. The second one, however, is another story. I squeezed and squeezed and squeezed away and it was just not budging; it was way in there.

Fortunately my menstrual cup has gotten pretty far up there on occasion, otherwise I might have been really scared about getting this thing out! Even so, I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get a grip on a slick little ball. Eventually I had to get back up and go into the bathtub again and between squeezing as hard as I could and crooking a finger around the side and sort of rolling it down, I did manage to get it out.

I don't know if my vagina is weird or far weaker than I thought or what, but I have to admit I'm a bit wary of trying these again. I WILL try them again though, because at this point getting them to work is like a mystery I have to solve. As far as recommending them to others, I am going to have to say if you've never used ben wa balls before I would highly recommend something like Smart Balls or another set that keeps the two attached and/or has a string to aid getting them out. These might be a bit advanced for us!

Still, my cat really really enjoyed rolling them around the floor, so even if I never solve their mystery, it's not a total loss...

Keep in mind that even if they seem to get stuck farther up, the vagina is not open-ended, so they will come out again. I know it's still scary anyway.
I'm really curious as to how the possibilities for wearing these during penetrative sex--they're safe to do so, and can provide different stimulation to both partners. Still waiting for someone to try...

Your vagina isn't weak for not being able to get these out, in fact, when my muscle tone was rather weak ben-wa balls would just slip out on their own, I didn't have to struggle to push them out.

LOL, why is it that cats seem to like sex toys as much as people?
