Little Pearls, more like Loud Pearls

I didn't like this toy. That being said, I'm sure there are people who will. I think there is a place for it in most toy boxes, but I wouldn't miss it in mine. I also think that there are other toys around the same price which can provide you with a better experience.

Use

So, I got this toy when I was starting up my toy collection a few months ago. It is an okay toy. I didn't like it personally, but I think that it can be good for beginners, and people who are less sensitive. It can be used for G-spot stimulation, vaginal penetration, and clitoral stimulation. I do not recommend this toy for anal use, because it has no flared base. It is very loud (my partner compared it to a drill), so I don't recommend it for anyone who is in a room mate situation, or doesn't want their toys to be heard. I also don't recommend it for water situations. I don't think it claims to be waterproof, but I don't trust it enough to take it in the shower with me.

Material / Texture

It is made of hard plastic, so it is an 8 on the EdenFantasys scale. It is very smooth, and there is no give to it at all. There was no smell or taste that it came with, so that was great, but one of the few good things about it. I would recommend it for someone who isn't so fond of texture seeing as it is very smooth.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I liked the design of it. It was bigger than I thought it would have been. It was 7 inches in length, 6 of which are insertable (the other inch holds control of the vibrations) and 1 inch in diameter. The size is good for beginners. The size was okay for me, but the shape wasn't tapered well enough for G-spot stimulation, so I wasn't thrilled to bits, and it did take a lot of movement for me to angle it correctly, by which time my hand was numb from the vibrations. It is somewhat discreet, but I do think that if anyone saw it they would know what it was, so if anyone planned on traveling with it, they should probably keep it in a pouch.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bottom of the vibrator (underneath the battery compartment) is where you turn to get the vibrations. To turn on, all you have to do is twist the ring at the base of the toy. This is my least favourite vibrator, because I found it too powerful, to the point where it was unnecessary. The best vibration setting for me was the lowest one, because it is still pretty powerful. My main problem with that part of it was that the vibrations aren't localized to the tip, so my hand went numb from trying to maneuver it.
The functions are all steady vibrations with no pulsating setting, and there are three settings which are all very powerful.
It is VERY NOISY. That was my least favourite part of the toy. I felt like my roommates could hear how loud it was so I couldn't use it when anyone was home. Music couldn't even help mask the sound.
Also, the battery life is a little iffy.
    • Battery guzzler
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings loud

Care and Maintenance

You can use it with pretty much any lube, because it is made out of plastic. Ensure to clean it before and after each use. I do not recommend boiling it or putting it in a dishwasher. Toy wipes and toy cleaner are your best bet, and if you're careful, soap and water. I use a spray on toy cleaner and paper towels. It doesn't come with storage, so I would just toss it in my nightstand drawer or my toy box (without the batteries) in case it turns on and everyone thinks there's an earthquake.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store most lubes ok

Packaging

The packaging was not discreet at all, but easy to open (I didn't have to get my scissors out).
The packaging is not very gift-friendly if you don't want to make it obvious. It also cannot be used as storage at all. I threw mine away after I opened it.
There were not many instructions in the packaging, which I didn't expect for $12.99.
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Soap and water is a good cleaning choice for this toy. I've never had a problem with it.
