Great Starter Toy

This is a fantastic first toy and will probably be one I go back to even when I've got a veritable arsenal of toys. Its sleek shape, moderate size, strong vibrations, and surprising quietness will make it a sex toy staple for many. And at this price, you really can't go wrong.

useful review
I should preface this review by stating that this is the first vibrator I've ever used so I don't have much to compare it to. So as a sex toy novice but sex enthusiast, here's my review!

I guess let's start with the physical features. I got the red one which is a slightly metallic, deep wine color that I'm completely in love with. Sex toys should be pretty AND functional, no? The red is especially nice because I think it's a bit unisex and not too girly to bring in a male partner for use on him or to be used on you. The plastic is hard and smooth and delightfully easy to clean. I used a little bit of warm water and some mild soap, and it was spotless in a minute. [Editor's note: plastic is relatively safe, but can't be sterilized so cover if sharing with a non-fluid bonded partner.] I really like that it doesn't pick up dust and fuzz the way silicone toys do. The batteries are easy to put in and take out, and the dial is very easy to use without interrupting the action.

The best feature of this toy is definitely the dial, which has at least four distinctive speeds ranging from very slow vibrations to VERY fast. I usually start off at the lowest speed and work up to the third setting. Anything higher than that is a bit much for me (but probably perfect for some!). The plastic really communicates the vibrations through the whole shaft which is pretty nice. The shaft is a good size for insertion, but I personally found the sensation of vibrations within the vagina, even at a low speed, to be a bit uncomfortable. The only complaint I have about the Little Pearls is that it is too smooth. The toy has no texture whatsoever, and sometimes even stronger vibrations just weren't the right kind of stimulation to get off, and I'd have to press harder or rub my clit. I might prefer something with some ribbing or nubbies or something like that.

Aesthetics are definitely important. Plastic is also compatible with both water-based and silicone lubes.

Did it smell? What was the packaging like?
  • Contributor: Aeonix
No smell at all, as far as I noticed, and I'm generally pretty sensitive to that sort of thing.

The packaging is pretty standard. A plastic case thingy (like what electronics are usually in). I did like that the paper insert didn't have any sexually explicit imagery, which usually leaves a figurative bad taste in my mouth. Just a neat graphic design that's eyecatching. It looks like this packaging is designed for the red and copper models, so I can't speak to what the packaging for the other colors looks like. If the stock photos are accurate, it looks like at least the purple and blue vibrators have the standard naked chick with bad hair and too much makeup lol

I found the red color to be more pink-ish, which is worth noting for those where color of toy is important.
