Lucid dream 14 - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Megan Jean

The Lucid Dream no. 14 was my very first sex toy. (Don't read that with too much nostalgia, I purchased it 6 months ago!) Not really knowing what I was looking for or what I liked; I just picked out the neatest looking, cheapest vibrator I could find. Boy did I make the right decision!

Just by looking at the toy, you can easily see that the vibrations are concentrated at the head. A large bullet is embedded in the tip of the toy, which is an amazing feature. The tip itself is contoured just right to hit the g-spot almost effortlessly with every thrust. The vibration is controlled by a turn-dial at the base. There is only one pattern of vibration, but various speeds, the highest of which is very intense. These vibrations are in the 'lower pitched' range, not quite rumbly, but definitely not buzzy.

I do have one big complaint about this toy. It is something you'll notice as soon as you take it out of the box; the smell. I can not properly describe the smell of this toy, it's something chemical, something very off-putting (though not off-putting enough to keep me away from it). This smell fades a bit with time and washings, but it never goes away completely. I've had this toy for 6 months, I use and wash it regularly, and it still retains the smell. It's even 'tainted' other toys in the same box as it with the smell, so if at all possible, I would keep it separate from other toys. I can only assume the smell comes from the material it is made of, which is described on the website only as 'Jelly'.

I have not personally tried putting a condom over the toy, and I'm not sure it would fit properly over it, due to the odd shape of the toy.

All in all, if you're concerned about material safety, look elsewhere. If you want an inexpensive g-spot vibrator that gets the job done, look no further.

This is my favorite toy. It cuddles up against my G-spot perfectly, and makes it impossible to stay quiet! When my boyfriend and I are playing over the phone, he knows when I pull this one out, because I can't shut up!!

This is still my all time favorite toy. Though I'm looking for a replacement with a similar shape, but a better material, because this toy STINKS! It still smells up the whole room. But, I still love it. It's like having a best friend who lives on a hog farm- they smell horrible, but they're so good to you, so you have to love them!
