The Diamond Lustre is designed and advertised as a g-spot vibrator. At only 4.5 inches total length (only 3.25 inches of which are insertable), this toy may be a bit too small to be used for g-spot stimulation for some users. It works great for clitoral stimulation, however, or stimulation of other erogenous zones such as the neck or nipples. It's small size and attractive design makes it perfect for on-the-go stimulation.

The Diamond Lustre, which is phthalates-free and hypoallergenic, is made of plastic and has a lovely velvety feel to it. It feels nice when caressed against skin, and the matte surface combined with the "diamonds" give it a very classy appearance. The small amount of drag created by the velvety surface definitely adds some stimulation and makes it easier to keep in place when using it in...shall we say..."slick" areas. There is absolutely no taste or scent either, which is quite nice.

As stated previously, the Diamond Lustre is designed as a g-spot vibrator. As a girl who fully understands where her g-spot is, I found using this toy for its advertised purpose to be a bit annoying. Because of its small size, only 3.25 inches insertable, I found it very difficult to reach the g-spot without losing the toy inside of me. This toy is best used as a general vibrator for clitoral stimulation or for stimulation of other parts of the body. Fortunately, the small size makes it optimal for carrying around as a toy that is always on hand for "emergency situations.” Also, because of its sophisticated appearance, if someone casually caught a glance at the toy in your bag, they wouldn't instantly know what it was.

It should be noted that, though the toy is waterproof, the ridges around the battery compartment, surrounding each "diamond", and around the dial seems to be a collecting area for bodily fluids. Cleaning can become a hassle. So always make sure to clean this area extra well, as it can harbor bacteria and other microorganisms.

The Diamond Lustre is controlled by a simple twist of the bottom of the toy. Turning the dial clockwise turns the toy on, and as you continue to turn the dial, the vibrations within the toy get stronger until it reaches its highest vibration setting. It is sometimes very easy to turn the dial by mistake while you use the toy, so this should be noted. The vibrations can easily be felt throughout the length of the toy and are adequately strong. I personally would prefer slightly stronger vibrations, but I tend to prefer stronger vibrations than most.

The toy, on its loudest setting, is hardly noticeable. It cannot be heard through a blanket and definitely cannot be heard through a closed door. This is one of the nice things about the toy and makes it usable in a more public settings (bathroom quickie, anyone?).

The toy is waterproof and I've never had any issues with this aspect of it. Though I have had bodily fluids sneak their way into the crevice of the battery compartment cap, nothing has ever made it past the o-ring.

As a final note, because I tend to use toys excessively, I always like to comment on battery usage. The Diamond Lustre uses one AA battery, and this toy seems to last a LONG time on that single battery. It's great for extended play as the battery will last, and the vibrations are weak enough to avoid inducing numbness.

The Diamond Lustre is rather easy to care for. It's waterproof, so cleaning with a toy cleaner or antibacterial soap is no issue. Because the crevices near the end of the toy for the knob and closure seem to gather bodily fluids, I recommend being extra mindful of these areas when cleaning.

The tin box it comes in is perfect for storage, and I recommend using it for such.

The toy comes nestled in a nice foam cutout, in a reusable tin box. The box has a hinged lid and is terribly convenient. It's definitely one of my favorite features of the toy. Packaging probably shouldn't be one's favorite thing about a toy, but it is in this case.

I must admit, after my first few attempts at using the Diamond Lustre, I laid it to rest in my toy box. The size doesn't allow me to use it for g-spot stimulation and the vibrations are just too weak to get me off. Though I find it appealing to look at, ogling a toy never really made me orgasm. It's not a toy I'll be using again any time soon.
