Ah, the turbo glider|Waterproof turbo glider blueberry! Or, as I like to call it, "Old Faithful." When I need an orgasm and I don't have time to mess around, I go straight for this vibe. It may not be the best, but it's definitely reliable, and it's always gotten me off.

The turbo glider would be an EXCELLENT choice for a first vibrator, especially if you aren't in to penetration. You COULD use it for penetration with a good bit of lube, but I don't think hard plastic is very comfortable; I've slipped the first knob in a few times, but that's about it. It's great for clitoral stimulation, though, and I love to trap my clit between two of my knobs and rub. Ooo!

Speaking of hard plastic: this is a decent quality toy with a decent texture. You can't expect the best of the best with hard plastic, but what you CAN expect is a sturdy, easy-to-clean material that can take a lot of abuse. I've dropped my turbo glider several times and have yet to run in to any problems. Also, it's waterproof, so it's great for shower fun!

The turbo glider has a turning dial, which is very convenient, so you can gauge how much vibration you want without fussing around too much. I stay primarily on the middle settings, and right when I'm about to come, I switch to the highest setting, which gives me a screaming orgasm! I can hardly handle the higher setting unless I'm about to come, and I can't take the absolute highest setting at all: it's powerful enough to make me over-sensitive. I'd probably rank this vibe's maximum power a notch below a Magic Wand's power|Hitachi magic wand vibrator.

This vib definitely isn't QUIET, but as far as vibrators go, it doesn't get very loud unless you turn it up to the highest speed. It's barely audible on lower speeds, kind of like a cellphone vibration, and you can easily muffle the middle speeds with a pillow or a blanket. The closest thing I can compare this toy to--at its loudest--is a personal trimmer. If you have paper thin walls or people can normally hear right outside your door, they'll probably be able to hear it when its up high and unmuffled.

Overall, I'd rank the turbo glider at a solid 4/5, maybe a 4.5. This isn't for you if you want a really realistic texture or penetration. If you're looking for a good first vibrator, a well-balanced toy with a good shelf life, shower fun, or clitoral stimulation, all for a great price, I would certainly recommend this vibrator! It's one of my favorites and is really dependable.

While it's definitely a great beginner toy, the turbo glider may still take some getting used to; I had to try it out several times before I figured out how to get the best out of it.

I always use a lot of slippery lube with this vibrator to improve the texture, and I recommend you do the same!

Lastly, I recommend removing the batteries from this toy when you're finished; it'll make your batteries last twice as long!

I've had this vibe for over a year now and it's still going strong! It isn't a battery hog like some toys are, provided you remove the batteries after each use, and it always makes me orgasm! I would like to note--since it may not be clear in the review text--that the turbo glider's bees rating is based on the toy's sound at the middle speeds. At its lowest, I'd probably rank this vibe at 2 bees, while at its highest, it's definitely at least 4 bees.

I have always cleaned this toy with warm water and mild soap and/or Before and After toy cleaner, and it has remained sparkly fresh and like new because of this basic care!
