Rendezvous For Love

The Tryst 2 is a nice, moderately sized vibrator with surprisingly throbby and rumbly vibrations that are felt well internally. The g-spot tip may be too flexible for some, but it does allow moderate pressure for stimulation.

Use

The Tryst 2 from Cal Exotics is a vibrator designed for g-spot stimulation. It will work best for those who prefer modestly sized vibrators that aren’t entirely rigid and like a more flexible g-spot stimulator. It should please those who like deeper, more rumbly and throbby vibrations as well. The Tryst 2 can be enjoyed in water or on land and is fairly quiet so it can be used discreetly in a variety of settings.

Material / Texture

This vibrator is made of silicone, so it’s phthalates free, latex free, and body safe. It has no scent or taste right out of the box. The Tryst 2 also has some ABS plastic parts (cap and buttons) as well as ABS plastic with metallic plating (decorative ring). These plastic parts share the body safe properties of the silicone.

The texture of the Tryst 2 is quite smooth and squishy with two waving raised ridges that run up each side for extra stimulation, and the front of the shaft has an indentation. Depending on the size of vibrator you comfortably use, these ridges and indentation may or may not be felt during use. There’s just a bit of drag to the bubblegum pink matte surface. Used with a small amount of waterbased lube, the vibrator glides in and is comfortable to use.

Design / Shape / Size

The Tryst 2 is modestly sized. It is 7” long with about 5 1/4" insertable, and is 1 1/2" in diameter at its widest point. The tip is curved to deliver g-spot stimulation and makes the Tryst 2 easier to insert. Both the tip and the shaft have some flexibility, although the tip is much more flexible than the shaft and may be too soft if you need very hard pressure on your g-spot.

While the Tryst 2 isn’t very discreet looking, it’s easy to hide away in a bag, and would be fine for traveling as long as the batteries are removed (it does not sport a locking feature).

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Tryst 2 is powered by 2 AAA batteries. The battery compartment is accessed by removing the cap on the bottom. A small tab on the base needs to be pressed up, and then the cap (surrounded by the decorative silver band) slides off. The battery direction is clearly labeled. Around the battery connections on the lid is an O-ring of sorts that keeps water out of the Tryst 2 in the shower or tub with no noticeable water making its way into the battery compartment. The cap should be securely snapped close before taking the Tryst 2 into the water.

This vibrator is controlled by two buttons located close to the base on the front. The buttons are white with black labeling – the top button is a dedicated on/off, while the bottom button controls the functions. Pressing the On/Off button turns the Tryst 2 on, and causes both buttons to be backlit with a red LED light. This light changes intensity and/or flashes depending on the pattern selected.

The Tryst 2 has seven functions:

- Low and steady
- Medium and steady
- High and steady
- Fluttering reverberation from low to high
- Pulse pattern
- Faster pulse pattern
- 3 short pulses followed by 2 longer pulses

The functions always restart on low and steady when the vibrator is turned on.

The vibrations are moderately strong. They are quite throbby and rumbly and can be felt more intently internally than a more buzzy vibrator. The tip carries the vibrations quite well.

The Tryst 2 is quiet, and won’t be heard from a few feet away if there’s any kind of background noise in the room.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Tryst 2 is made of silicone and plastic, it’s easy to care for. It should be washed both before and after use with antibacterial soap and warm water and patted dry. The batteries should be removed when storing. The Tryst 2 can be stored in its packaging or any small toy pouch.

Only water-based lubricants should be used.

Packaging

The Tryst 2 comes in a clear plastic box with some light pink detailing and is visible through the front and sides. A picture of the toy, as well as some product information, is on the back of the box. The package can be used for storing the Tryst 2 if desired.

Experience

The Tryst 2 was smaller than I expected, but it worked considerably better than I was expecting as well. The tip was pretty flexible, but I didn’t have any trouble getting it to hit and stimulate my g-spot.

What surprised me the most was how throbby the vibrations were. They’re concentrated right below the tip, although they can be felt throughout the toy, and they were much more rumbly than I expected. They felt really good, especially on the pulsing patterns.

I liked that the buttons were raised so I could tell if I was hitting the top button or bottom button when using this. I did notice though that sometimes, getting a good grip and thrusting, my fingers would hit the buttons and turn the Tryst 2 off. Gripping it more from the side and not thrusting so deeply with it helped, but on occasion I’d want to grab the front again and off it would go.

I had some problems with the battery cap at first as well. The small tab that needs to be pressed up is really small, and it’s a lot easier to press if you’ve got some fingernails. After getting it up the first time, I had trouble getting the cap to come off. After the first time of getting it off and back on, I didn’t have further problems with it.

Great review. That battery cap thing sounds annoying, especially for nail biters like me.

Thanks for the help! I like this one, but I hate AAA batteries and your experience with the cap sounds way too frustrating!
