Waterproof mini metal - discreet massager discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by pixelationnation

I received this toy as a free gift with purchase. It is small, red (or pink), with a cord attached to it. (Not sure why - are any of you planning on wearing this thing like a necklace?) It is hard metal, discreet, and could easily be slipped into your pocket. It is said to be waterproof and is fairly quiet. It comes with 2 sets of 4 watch batteries, so you get one set and a back up set, which is nice. It would be best used for clitoral stimulation, as it could only be used for really shallow penetration.

The first thing that I noticed is that it's really difficult and finicky to get the batteries in correctly and get the cap screwed on just right. The batteries come with a plastic sleeve on them that should be used with the batteries (don't take it off!) which is intended to prevent overheating. I found that this plastic sleeve did not help the heat problem, however.

It really only has one (maybe two?) settings. It's hard to tell as there are no defined settings, you just turn the cap to get it to come on. This little thing has hardly any power. For any of you who have used pretty much any other toy, you will probably find this really weak. I considered giving it to a friend of mine who has only owned one vibrator in her life, but even she thought it was pitiful while holding it. Since she didn't want it, I decided to at least give the thing a shot before I tossed it.

Since this item is metal and is too small to have anywhere to grip it, it is frustratingly slippery when wet. Even if the vibrations were enough to do anything for you, you would be fighting the little thing to prevent it from slipping away from its target. It's not big enough for penetration, though I suppose if you really wanted to you could insert it and use the cord for retrieval purposes.

A big issue with this is that I noticed after about 10 seconds of use, it started to heat up really fast. I stopped using it at about 30 seconds because it was continually getting hotter. I believe this must be a poor design flaw in the product.

Sad to say, my first review will be for a one-star product.
