Bottle rockets Orion - discreet massager by Evolved Novelties - review by Carrie Ann

Shining Star

The Orion is a discreet little stimulator with non-intimidating length and girth, perfect for any user but especially likely to appeal to those just beginning to use sex toys. It's power is moderate but considering it uses only a single AA battery, it's impressive. The texture of the plastic is matte yet smooth, with vertical grooves that add to your experience without being "too" much texture.
Small, cute, discreet, non-intimidating, body safe, moderate power, easy push button control.
May not be powerful enough for some.

extremely useful review

The Orion is an adorable, pint sized little star of a clitoral vibrator. Though it could be used internally, it's about the size of a pocket rocket so it doesn't give much stimulation there; neither in depth nor girth. It does, however, give plenty of power for it's size and is non intimidating, making it a wonderful toy for the beginner user but more than enough for the well seasoned connoisseur, as well. It's discreet size also makes it a terrific option for a bit of extra clitoral stimulation during penetrative sex. It fits quite well between two bodies without being uncomfortable or bulky.

Material / Texture

The Orion is made of phthalates free, matte plastic. It's smooth and firm with vertical grooves that add a pleasant sensation when you spin or twist it against your skin.

Plastic has come a long way since the old, off white, D cell vibrators of my youth. This one feels almost velvety and definitely much more body friendly than many plastic toys.

It has no smell or taste and a terrific firmness for those who like pressure.

Design / Shape / Size

Almost all Evolved toys have a very unique pointed bottom and the Orion is no exception. From that pointed bottom this little rocket's 4.5 inch shaft dips in then bulges out to a slightly bulbous head, giving it lovely curves. The vertical grooves add sensation as well as an interesting look to the toy. Spinning or twisting is the best way to take advantage of those grooves; however the Orion is only 1 inch in diameter with 3 inches of insertable length so it's not necessarily designed for internal stimulation.

The vibrations are concentrated in the bulbous head so if you do insert it, you get nice stimulation at the entrance of the vagina. If you use it as a clitoral stimulator you get a good sized surface area with pinpoint vibrations.

It's small size makes it very easy to tuck away in a drawer or purse but I'd recommend removing the battery so it doesn't accidentally get turned on. The Orion has a simple push button control that is easy to press, even unintentionally.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The easy to press push button on the pointed end of the Orion makes use a breeze. A single press turns it on, another turns it off. No fancy speeds or patterns, just a nice, moderate buzz that is exceedingly quiet.

The Orion is waterproof and the twist off battery compartment has an o-ring seal that ensures the waterproof functionality works well.

The Bottle Rocket line may not have a lot of bells and whistles but as a single speed, single battery vibe it really shines. Power, ease of use and discretion make it well worth it's reasonable cost.

Care and Maintenance

Plastic toys can be washed with soap and water, wiped with a ten percent bleach solution or a toy wipe or sprayed with any toy cleaner. They can also be used with any lube and won't harm your other toys if you store them together.

Because the Orion is waterproof and I don't share my toys, I wash it in the sink under running water with a bit of Climax Bursts toy cleaner or Dr. Bronner's soap.

One of the best things about the Evolved Bottle Rockets is their packaging. They come in a clear 'soda" bottle with an authentic metal cap. The bottle is printed with typical Evolved text and branding and makes a terrific storage case to keep the toy in when you're not using it.
Follow-up commentary
The more I've used this toy, the more I've liked it. It's a good, solid, dependable discreet vibe that lasts a long time on a single battery. It's not a rocket in the sense that pocket rockets are but it's a rocket of a little bullet and it's cute, to boot.

I may get some of these as stocking stuffers this year, I think...

Oddly, this is my second one. I got the Orion in purple when they first came out (from another site) and I wasn't all that fond of it. Didn't like the color at all and it seemed weak.

This one, which was a gift, seems a little stronger. It's probably just a new/different battery or something but I definitely like this one better than the first.

And, yeah, the packaging just rocks. SO cute.
