The toy has a slight new toy smell but no taste. It is slightly velvety to the touch.

The ball itself is egg shaped with a tapered end. Six purple swirls are placed into the silicone, creating seams. A gyrating weight rests inside the toy and is able to move freely within the egg.

The toy is a little over four inches long, with about two inches of insertable length. The diameter is one and a half inches. The retrieval string is around two and a half inches in length. The string is looped, and is just wide enough to fit over the hand and onto the wrist.

Once inserted, the Javida is held in place by the pelvic bone. From there, kegel exercises tighten the vaginal muscles around the bulb. At times it can feel as if the bulb is slipping out and your vaginal muscles will reflex to keep it in, giving you an extra workout. Because the ball is single, it is a little more work to get your muscles to tighten around it, so in the end it's a better workout.

Although the toy is silicone, it cannot be boiled because of the plastic. Simply clean with antibacterial soap and water before and after each use, paying special attention to the seams. Use only water based lube with the toy. If you intend to share, cover the bulb with a condom. Store away from other toys, as the silicone might react and melt itself or other toys.

The toy comes in a pretty white and purple cardboard box, with a magnetic door flap revealing a window to admire the toy. The toy is nestled snugly between plastic, keeping it safe from jostling during shipment. Instructions are not included.

To use, lube the bulb up and insert it as you would a tampon. Then relax a moment, get into a comfortable position, and begin to squeeze your vaginal muscles. The object of the exercise is to squeeze your muscles around the bulb. With practice you may be able to gently move it up and down. Any movement you make (walking, for example) will send the inner core swinging, providing you with extra stimulation. You can also masturbate while the bulb is inserted.
