Too Flexible

Fleur De Lis Silky G is a beautiful G-spot vibrator from Evolved. It's a small size vibrator with moderate steady settings. It features a slanted tip that is very flexible. It was too flexible for me, but others might like it. It's completely waterproof and has a beautiful storage case.

Use

Fleur De Lis Silky G is a small sized vibrator with a slanted tip to stimulate the G-spot. This one should have been a gymnast because she is flexible with a capital F. In theory, the slanted tip is great for stroking the G-spot. In practice, it didn't work so well for me. It was too flexible. Others might love it.

It also can be used externally. Your clit may really enjoy the vibrations it offers. It does not have a flared base so is unsuitable for anal play. You can use this on your own or with a partner. It can be enjoyed in the tub or shower. It is small enough to travel easily. Depending on the length of your purse, it may fit in there. It would be fine in luggage. Be sure and take out the batteries when traveling so it doesn't accidentally turn on.

Material / Texture

Silky G is made from plush silicone. Silicone is one of the best materials for sex toys. It is nonporous, hypoallergenic, and phthalate free. Silicone is very easy to clean and can be completely sanitized. It's one of my favorite materials. I always feel safe with silicone toys.

Silicone does have one drawback. It collects lint like crazy and does not like to relinquish it. Be sure and wash off the toy before use to get rid of the undesirables.

This toy is extremely flexible. The shaft bends very easily. It was too bendable for my tastes. Using it as a G-spotter it bends into my body instead of creating some pressure. Those that like a lighter touch might appreciate this. Besides being flexible, the silicone is also soft and smooth. It feels very nice in my hands.

Design / Shape / Size

Silky G has a very simple design. It is a moderately thin vibrator with a pointy tip at the end. The tip is designed to stimulate the G-spot. Just below the tip are a couple of bulges. From there it straightens out into the smooth shaft.

The toy is 7.5 inches long with about 6 inches of that insertable. It is just under 4 inches around. While it is not the thinnest of vibes available, it is fairly thin. Size queens won't be happy with this. It's a nice size for beginners or those who like toys with a smaller size.

From my point of view, the biggest drawback to the design is the bendable silicone. I like vibes that are rigid, so this doesn't do much for me-at least internally. Everyone is different though. If you enjoy flexible toys, this may be good for you.

My silky G is a gorgeous light blue color. It is also available in purple.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Silky G has 3 intensities- low, medium, and high. It does not have any pulsating options. If you must have pulses look for a different toy. The vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy. The highest one has a strength of 3/5. It doesn't offer a high intensity but it's nice for those who enjoy moderate strength. It is quiet enough to not be heard outside of a closed door.

A single push button located on the toy's bottom controls the functions. It is easy to push. Simply push it to turn it on. Continue pushing it to scroll through the settings. After the high setting it will shut off when pushed again. If you want to go from high to low you have to actually turn it off and then on again. That's a bit strange. I haven't encountered that before.

It runs on 2 AAA batteries. The plastic dome cap unscrews for access to the battery compartment. It has an 0 ring protecting the motor and batteries from water.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is very easy to clean. It can be washed with soap & water, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. It can't be boiled or put in the dishwasher because it has a motor. It is waterproof so you don't have to be extra careful washing it. No water or cleaner will get in the battery compartment as long as the cap is screwed on tight.

It has a wonderful plastic storage case perfect for keeping it clean and safe when not in use. Read below for more information on the case. It's a very convenient storage container. If you choose not to use it, remember to keep this silicone toy away from other silicone toys. Silicone does not like to mix. The materials can react together and destroy the toys. Always keep silicone toys separate from each other. It would be fine to keep them in separate ziplock bags.

Packaging

The coolest thing about this toy is the packaging. All of the Fleur De Line toys come in their own heavy duty case. It is suitable for long term storage. The toy sits inside a purple base and a long vertical transparent dome sits on thop. The case has some pretty etchings and a pink ring around the middle with Evolved's name.

It's very classy and a nice touch for this toy. Keeping it in the case takes up more space than storing it in a pouch or bag, but it does a good job of protecting the toy.

Experience

I bought this several months ago during a good sale. I loved the slanted tip and thought it would probably work well for me. Unfortunately I was wrong. The silicone contours to my body too much to be effective. However, I have found it to be a nice teaser clitoral vibe. It's fun to use as a warm up. It is effective at getting me aroused. Sometimes my husband likes to tease me with it. The teasing only takes me so far, but it is nice for extended foreplay sessions.
Follow-up commentary
Fleur De Lis silky G was just never great for me. I love the color and design, but it is too flexible for me. It's more frustrating than anything else. It's too bad because in general I have been very pleased with Evolved products. This one just didn't hit the spot.

Hmm. The flexibility seems like it could go either way for me, but I prefer stronger vibes. I think I'll pass on this one though. Thanks for the review! It helped me decided.
