First Impression:

My first impression of the Bell Clit Clamp was one of curiosity. I had already played with the same tweezer style nipple clamps before and hoped that the clit clamp would be as much, if not more fun to play with.

Material:

The Bell Clit Clamp is made from metal with little rubber tips by a company named Spartacus. Metal has a safety rating of 9, 10 being the safest material rating on the scale. Metal is phthalate free and non-porous so there's no worry about harboring bacteria and it's easy to clean. The clit clamp also doesn't really have an odor beyond a slightly metallic smell, but that's not unusual of metal items.

Color & Texture:

There wasn't a color option with this particular clit clamp, so I received the plain metal one with black rubber tips. The metal and rubber are both pretty smooth to the touch and shiny. The rubber tips I'd say are the only part of the clamp that are a bit grabby on skin, but that's kind of the point of them.

Controls & Shape:

The clamp is a U-shaped piece of metal that is slightly crimped at the end and has a ring there that attaches to a cute little bell. On the base of the clamp there is a small metal ring that can be moved up and down the length of the clamp to adjust how tight it grabs. On the tips of the tweezer clamp are small rubber covers to lessen the severity of the metal ends and these tend to be loose, but nothing a drop of Gorilla Glue won't cure.

After getting the clamp's rubber ends around the clit you have the option of moving the sliding ring. The farther up the clamp you go, the tighter and more painful it gets. I was new to clamping anything on my clit and have to say I had this farther than halfway clamped without it hurting too bad.

Measurements are as follows:
Tweezer: Just shy of 3" long
Rubber Tips: 1/2" long
Bell: About 1/2" tall

Noise & Power:

The Bell Clit Clamp jingles every time its bell is moved or bumped, so being quiet with this on is not an option, it will be heard pretty easily through doors. The only power this clamp uses is that of your fingers for adjusting and tightening them.

Cleaning, Storage & Packaging:

The Bell Clit Clamp isn't exactly for submerging in water as the metal may happen to rust if you do so. So boiling it or putting it in the dishwasher is not a good idea. It's advised to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if you feel it necessary or a 10% bleach solution may be used on these clamps. You can even use a toy wipe on the rubber ends; just be sure to dry the clamp completely before storing.

The clamp doesn't come with any kind of storage pouch, but it can easily be stored just about anywhere since it's okay touching other toys. Personally, I keep the Bell Clamp zipped up in a pvc pocket I have just for clamps, but you can toss it in a drawer or other kind of container of your choosing.

The package that this clamp came in is one of those plastic snap-the-corners-closed kind. The only thing included in the package with the clit clamp is the folded cardboard with "Spartacus Bell Clit Clamp" on the front. There was no warranty included in the packaging. I would say this package isn't very discreet with the cardboard in it, but if you just take that out you could get away with using it as a storage container.

Use:

The Bell Clit Clamp can be easily shared but should be cleaned in between uses to remove any residue from residual discharge. Women would probably benefit the most from the use of this clit clamp since it's made specifically for clamping onto clits. The clit clamp is so easy to use and adjustable so it's great for everyone, including beginners like myself. This clamp can be used in foreplay to tease and excite before moving onto other fun activities but, it's not advised to try wearing the clit clamp during sex as it may pop off and cause some unwanted pain.

After removing this clamp from its packaging and gluing the rubber tips (allowing for drying time of course), I proceeded in clipping it on. Now it took some work and maneuvering to get the right angle and placement, but it felt wonderful once on.

I'm the kind of girl that loves pressure as opposed to lots of movement on my clitoris and this clit clamp really did the trick in creating lots of lovely pressure. I walked around a bit after getting it on and delighted in the cute little chiming sounds that came from it and was surprised at how good the sensations from it felt while moving around.

The clit clamp doesn't get regular use, but I still love it when we do use it. It hasn't been damaged in any way, and is holding up well to use.
