The battery cap is unusually designed. A round cap twists to the right and then pops off. Once the cap is removed you place 2 AAA batteries inside. Replacing the cap requires aligning the correct nubs to the specific grooves and twisting it closed.

I don't see Gracious as a discreet vibrator. But that doesn't mean you can't take it on the go if you choose. It will fit in a bag taking up little room. The narrow tip helps make insertion smooth. I don't feel the squared off shape of the tip once inserted, though. I think the tip is designed to match the modern appearance of the shaft. I don't easily feel the squared off edges either. Although the vibrator is flexible, it's still firm enough to massage my g-spot and vaginal walls or any pleasure spot on my body. I find I don't need to apply pressure for stimulation. Do not store Gracious with other silicone materials to prevent possible damage. This is also why you should not use silicone or even oil lube. Waterbased lube is always safe to use. Also, I prefer to store separately to prevent possible bleeding or melting of other toy materials. I just store all my toys in a baggie, pouch, or original packaging to simplify storage. Be sure to remove the batteries to preserve their life. And as always, store away from heat and sunlight.
