The Sex in a Can generation of Fleshlight toys is certainly among my favorite masturbators! The inner texture of O'Doyle's Stout, (mini forbidden) provides a remarkably tight and surprisingly accurate simulation of anal intercourse. If you're one of those guys who has always been curious about anal, or who simply enjoys it, then this is definitely the Fleshlight for you! However, it is not without flaw. I hesitate to call this toy 'high maintenance', but to truly enjoy all the wonders that this toy has to offer, it takes some prep work.

In my experience, to optimize pleasure, you remove the sleeve from the can and place it in warm water to soak for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. This will aid in the lubrication of the interior and also warm it up to feel even more lifelike! While it soaks, I recommend 'getting ready'. I say this because of how tight the toy is; you're going to want to be fully erect in order to penetrate comfortably. Once both you and the sleeve are ready, pat dry the exterior of the sleeve, reinsert it into the can, put a drop or two of water based lube into the entry hole and on you if you haven't already and enjoy the magic! One additional trick I picked up after my first experience with the toy is to use the top cap on the bottom to regulate pressure and give you an extra inch. I say this for two reasons: 1) Because the pressure regulation takes some getting used to and having a slightly larger means of control and the angle down design of the 'can' top makes this easier. Remember to have the pressure valve at least partway open when you first insert or the air pressure will really impede penetration. 2) The anal penetration depth maxes out at 7 1/2". For guys who exceed that, you're greeted by a hard, fairly unforgiving plastic dead-end should you decide to go all in. By switching caps, you're given an extra inch or so and in my case at least, gave me just enough comfort room. One last suggestion: When applying additional lube, do so with your non-dominant masturbatory hand. This is because the can itself has a tendency to become very slippery and unlike her big sister, Sex in a Can doesn't have a tapered 'grip' to assist. The interior sleeve texture design is wonderful and the Superskin feel is second only to the Meiki design in my opinion. The accuracy of design and detail gone into in creating the entryway to this toy is nothing short of remarkable. There is a very faint odor when you open your Fleshlight for the first time, but it's hardly distracting and quickly dissipates with use. The Superskin sleeve when properly lubed, provides one of the most amazing feelings I've ever encountered. The tight spiral design on the bottom of the "Mini-Forbidden" is my favorite part. It gives and curls around your penis, holding you softly, yet tightly, each nub felt individually as you pass. It makes me bite my lip just thinking about it. It's silky, resilient material has an exsquisite feel and it's durability make it a very worthwhile investment.

I love the exterior design of Sex in a Can and the added details show me a product that thought and care went into. From a distance it just looks like a tallboy, but if you read the can, it becomes pretty obvious what it is, however funny the labeling might be! Regardless, it is more discrete than the travel fleshlight series and even moreso than the originals. The size of O'Doyle's Stout and all the Sex in a Can series has both pros and cons. It does give a much tighter feel and a more accurate portrayal of anal intercourse than the original 'Forbidden' sleeve in my opinion. However, it is only 7 1/2" in length and as I stated before, it can be a problem for more endowed gentlemen and the tighter coils of the "Mini-Forbidden" provide less air flow, so you won't get nearly as much suction as you do with the original. It is one of the more travel-friendly of the Fleshlight series, but a beer can in a bag isn't a welcome site at any airport security checkpoint, so perhaps travel series is better for that. I'd shudder at the idea of having to explain this toy to overworked security personel while a line of my fellow travelers walked by.

When properly prepared, Fleshlight masturbators provide an experience unlike any other. It performs wonderfully in the shower, although to preserve the can's appearance I usually only take the sleeve in with me. The sleeve alone is incredible underwater, giving you suction like you've never felt. So if you're taking a bath to destress, think of just keeping it nearby should the mood arise. Getting used to the suction controls takes some and experience. Unless you're an old hand at Fleshlights, I can say with confidence that the experience will get better as you learn your toy. There is a point of frustration with the screw-cap suction that all Fleshlights seem to suffer from. The plastic screw with the slots cut out are somewhat loose, so just when you think you have the perfect suction, you'll pull out some or push in some and it'll change completely. The only thing I can recommend for this is once you have it right, keep at least one finger on the end of the can to hold it in place. Perhaps Fleshlight could either use a better grade plastic for the screw portion or just tighten the grooves. It is a nitpick, I realize, but this product's performance can either be an A+ or C- depending on alot of variables and I just want you to have at least a 3.5 average with a toy that you're paying anywhere from $50-100 for.

One arena that Fleshlight beats the surge of Meiki's and ona-holes currently flooding the market is in ease of clean and care. This is due to it's open-ended design. Once you've finished using your Fleshlight, you simply take the sleeve out of the can and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Do NOT use any soaps on the sleeve as it will damage the Superskin. Any advanced cleaning needed can be done with isoproply alcohol. Make sure you clean the can as well, as lube and semen tend to collect there from the sleeve dripping should you turn your Fleshlight right-side-up or if you're a user who extents past the sleeve. Afterward, you can towel and air-dry your sleeve and can.

A frustrating part is how long the interior takes to dry. The most effecient way is to drip it dry and personally, I just hang it from my towel rack. It's a perk of having my own place, but if that's not an option, just air dry or get creative, I suppose. Afterward, I highly recommend dusting it with corstarch, rolling it in a dry hand towel and brushing off excess. This will keep your Fleshlight in it's great, soft condition and will prevent stickiness, drying out or tearing.

The can itself is the best place to store your sleeve and as it is so durable no other protective storage is required. Although smaller than most other Fleshlights, it is a little more difficult to hide if you've got a smaller toybox or you don't want it displayed on your nightstand. Luckily it still is small enough to fit under most beds! One final reiteration: ONLY use water-based lubrications with any Fleshlight! Silicone or oil-based lubes will damage the Superskin.

Your Sex in a Can will come in a nice, little clear plastic case with a mini-brochure of your model, sleeve design and how to care for it. One issue I have with it is the glue they use to keep the Fleshlight in place within the case. If you like to keep cases or information that comes with your toys, make sure you're careful when you take it out for the first time. My pamphlet tore the first time I took it out of the case. Also the glue residue still sticks to the can afterward, but can be removed with a little warm water and elbow grease. A tiny packet of Flesh Lube comes with your Fleshlight, usually at the bottom of the can. Just unscrew the bottom cap and you should see it tucked inbetween the can and the sleeve. It's alright lube, if a bit tacky, so I just use my H2O JO or Sliquid, but that all comes down to your preference.

Like I said before, this particular toy is an absolute favorite of mine, but it requires some maintenance! I look at it as I do any sexual relationship: You get in what you give out. That's the most accurate parallel I can use for Fleshlight. You take the time, do some soaking and prep work and Fleshlight will give you a masturbatory experience like you've never had, but if you don't you'll receive the masturbatory equivilent of 'just lying there'. I personally use it when I've got a good hour or a whole night alone to kill, set the mood, dim the lights, burn a candle... You get the idea. When you want a really great sexual experience alone or with a partner, then it is well worth the work. When you want a quick orgasm that you don't have to roll out of bed for, you're far better suited for a less expensive ona-hole, sleeve or Tenga model.
