The EF vibrating ring is overall an average penis ring for the cost. I found it more useful for partner interaction and shared pleasure than solo pleasure. I received it as a free gift with my order of another toy and I am not disappointed in choosing it. Being a beginner with penis rings, I would say this is more suited for beginners alike.

Pros
Stretchy Material, Ring is re-usable, Can add different bullets in sleeve
The EdenFantasys vibrating ring is a versatile item that can be a great gift or addition to your toy box. You can wrap it around your own penis for some solo masturbation or with a partner for extra fun in bed. Ladies can use it as a finger vibrator, allowing them to control it effectively over the clit. Men can place it around their penis during penetration with their partner, giving a shared pleasure you can both enjoy.
Just when you think the possibilities are over, you can even use it on a dildo so it becomes a vibrating dildo. The sleeve where the bullet is housed also has multiple small nubs on the exterior that make it great for clitoris stimulation. For a beginner, I could see this as being a good option to go with for starting out. Being inexpensive, it allows you to explore a penis ring without spending a hefty amount of money.
The bullet is not overpowering at all but provides enough vibration to feel it working. Advanced users most likely will find it boring with the bullet it comes with. I would not recommend using it with lube, this will just cause it to slide around, or off in some cases. Finally, when the disposable bullet runs out of battery power you can place another bullet inside the sleeve as long as it fits. I do recommend doing this with a more powerful bullet to get greater results.
First off this ring is made of TPR Silicone, which means a thermoplastic rubber based silicone with an EF safety rating of 6. While not as safe as 100% silicone, it is ideal in my opinion for this type of ring to allow it to stretch so easily. The feeling of this material is what I enjoy the most, it reminds me so much of those really soft gummy bears, or any other soft gummy candy. While the ring has a smooth surface, there is a drag feel to it as I place it on my penis or run my fingers over the ring.
There is a light odor from the material that does not have a strong chemical smell to it. After washing it seemed there was mostly a light odor of the soap I used. The ring itself is very clear with the pink plastic bullet resting inside the sleeve above the ring. If anyone has problems getting it on, perhaps using a small amount of water based lube would get it on nicely. But make sure to wipe off any excess lube once it is on because you do not want it to fall off.
At first I found it somewhat difficult to get around my penis, being this is the first penis ring I have used. I think upon the first use I was hesitant to stretch it too far in fear of ripping it before I'd have the chance to use it. Unstretched it is around 5/8" in diameter on the interior of the ring, so a lot of people will have to stretch it to get it around their penis or toy. The product page specifics a max stretched diameter of 4", I have not attempted to stretch it more and recommend no one tries.
Now we have the sleeve above the ring that holds the disposable bullet. Just like the ring, the sleeve can stretch to fit larger bullets and seems slightly too large for the bullet it comes with. After using it a couple of times, having it stretched, having it cleaned multiple times, it still seems in good shape. I did find it to be a tight fit around my own penis especially at the base, but most of the time it was comfortable. This will definitely fit on the average male penis, however the bigger the tighter it will be.
With limited functions and controls this makes this ring incredibly simple to use. The small bullet inside the sleeve has one small switch---simply slide it back and forth to turn the bullet on or off. The switch is loose and flimsy, I found it hard to turn on and off in the dark. The bullet performs moderately, with low level vibrations which would benefit mostly beginners. However, being a beginner myself I still felt the vibrations were rather weak and didn't hold in the spotlight.
After 20 minutes of use I felt the power dramatically reduce as expected with almost any battery operated product. When the power level was at its highest, my partner described the little nubs on the sleeve as fairly stimulating while pressed against her clitoris. Overall the vibrations felt best for me when the ring was positioned closer to the base of my penis.
For cleaning this little ring, simply use some warm water and mild soap, or an antibacterial toy cleaner/wipe. I personally prefer to use a light to mild anti bacterial soap when cleaning the majority of toys. The TPR Silicone material may be a dirt magnet because I have noticed fine particles will stick to it more easily. I'll generally use a lint-free towel, or a flour sack from the kitchen to lightly pat it try. As far as storing this goes, I just use a small Ziplock bag and place in my toy box. I recommend separating this from other types of toys due to the materials of toys that can react differently with each other.
The EF vibrating ring comes in a simple foil packaging with a clear backing on it. The familiar EdenFantasys logo is on the front along with some simple instructions on how to use it. Packaging is disposable and not designed to store the ring once it is opened. It is not discreet so if you plan on buying this for someone as a gift they may prefer to have it given them in a private setting. The writing on the front of the foil package describes exactly what it is and its purpose.
Once I had tried this ring out for solo masturbation and sex with my partner I did find flaws in the product---for me at least. Around the base of my penis it was almost too tightly wrapped around, any time I came the feeling was somewhat held back. This gave me somewhat an uncomfortable feeling rather than pleasure. Also while I was masturbating with the ring around the base, it seemed the vibrations were almost not noticeable. My partner enjoyed the overall experience and did not have any complaints and felt the best thing were the nubs vibrating against her clitoris. I feel this is a ring that is better to be shared with someone. I'm glad this was the first penis ring I tried because it will help me in the future with choosing one more suited for my needs.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore2 months after original review
Sadly this cock ring has reached the intended use for me and has found itself collecting dust. I purchased a more advanced vibrating ring and now I am using that as a more permanent product. The Eden Fantasys vibrating ring is a great way for most beginners to try a cock ring, so they can determine what they will enjoy in a product like this. Because I received it as a free gift with order, this was a fantastic way for me to try out a vibrating ring for the first time. Even though I could use a re-usable bullet in this cock ring, I feel it still is not enough to fulfill my needs anymore. It was a great trial item though and overall I am not disappointed at all. For anyone out there wanting to try their first vibrating ring, I would say this is a good starting point.
