The Durex Play Connect cock ring leaves a lot to be desired. It lacks in the design, and comes with an outrageous price tag for being a disposable product. For first time cock ring users, I would pass on this. Besides the design, price, and almost vinegar-like smell it has, this cock ring does have cute, discreet package making it easy to take along wherever you may be going.

The Durex cock ring is made out of latex material. It feels almost rubber like, and it pulls a lot on skin, using lube is a must with this one. There is a “wavy” texture to the bullet, but you can not notice it. I honestly didn't realize it until I sat down with the toy to write the review on it just now! The cock ring does have an unpleasant smell to it. I initially just caught a whiff when I was taking it out of the package, but unless you are giving oral you won't notice the smell. It's like a bitter vinegar like scent. I thought it would go away after being exposed to the air for a bit, but it never did. It still has a strong odor now. You do have to put it to your nose to notice though.

The size of the cock ring is true to the description. The stretched size of the cock ring is 1 ¾”, and it is 3 ¼” long. For having a gap in the back and being a stretchy feeling material you would think that it has a little more stretch room, but it really doesn't. The bullet and cock ring have an almost soup ladle like shape. My guy is slightly larger, the cock ring stretched to fit him, but it was not snug (even though it was being stretched. It goes on very easy because of the slight gap in the back of the ring, which creates more problems than it does good. It pinches, pulls hair, and doesn't fit tightly because of the gap. My guy did not feel comfortable having sex with it on because it was that much of a bother. We had to use a lot of lube with it, because of the drag from the latex. Even with a ton of lube if the cock ring was twisted or moved it closed the gap and pinch my guys penis. He didn't want to have sex because he thought his balls would get caught up in that mess. It also pulled his hair really bad (he doesn't have a ton of hair) but he hated everything about it. We have tried cock rings in the past with no problems whatsoever, if this was a new experience for us we probably wouldn't have tried it again.

Unfortunately this is a one-time use deal. When I say one time use, I mean it. We didn't even use it during sex and it's already dead. It started to get weaker after about 15-20 minutes, and died 5 minutes after that. Being a one time use toy I just turned it on to see how long the batteries would last. I'm not sure if using it during sex would wear the motor down and make the battery life worse.

The bullet has a purple on/off button right on top. When in use it will be pressing up against you. It is fairly easy to turn on and off, with rougher, harder sex I can see it being a problem (I didn't use this while having sex). The bullet on this has a really high pitched bzz sounding vibe. It's very fast, and isn't too terribly strong, it's mostly just numbing. It wasn't enjoyed by my partner at all. I tried the cock ring on my fingers and using the bullet. It was more of a tickly feeling than anything else. It is high pitched, but is a low sound. Underneath covers it can not be heard.

There really is no care and maintenance involved. Which makes this toy great for traveling. After one use it is done and in the garbage, and if you are like me you'll be happy to see it go.

It comes in a cute clear plastic tray, with a peely sticker to pull open. The sticker does reseal nicely. It says Durex play on the sticker. The packaging is the perfect size for the toy. You could easily stick this in your purse, or make-up bag. It is very discreet, everything except th purple on/off button is clear, so it will easily be overlooked if left out in plain sight.
