The Boca Amiga Mouth Palm Pal (hereafter referred to simply as the "Boca Amiga") is intended to assist with male masturbation by inserting the penis into the hole in the mouth-shaped end of the sleeve. A small hole at the other end of the sleeve may either be covered or left uncovered to provide more or less suction as the user desires. This, when combined with the softness of the UR3 material, the textured inside, and the shape of the device, is meant to mimic the sensation of receiving oral sex. The Boca Amiga is made from Doc Johnson's signature blend of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and Sil-a-gel, known as "UR3," which is engineered to feel like real skin. To further add to the experience, the inside of the sleeve is lined with a series of slightly-raised, oval textures to mimic the feel of a real mouth. To test this out, I used the Boca Amiga both as directed and also turned inside-out. When turned inside-out, the material felt extremely slick, lifeless, and uninspiring. When used correctly, however, the inner textures provided resistance and a variance in feel which resulted in a much more enjoyable experience.

One potential drawback to the realistic-feeling UR3 material, however, is that it gives the toy a distinct lingering smell. It's not a completely unpleasant smell. On the contrary, it reminds me somewhat of baby powder mixed with something light, floral, and sweet. Nonetheless, it is a lingering smell which has only lessened slightly over six months of ownership, occasional use, and thorough cleaning.

As an average-sized guy, I'd say this sleeve is an excellent fit in terms of girth, but a short fit in terms of length when compared with other, similar toys. One will easily find oneself pushing through the rear of the toy during normal usage if one is thrusting and not mindful of what one's doing. I'm not sure about you, but being extra-mindful of the force and length of my strokes isn't always the foremost thing on my mind when I'm trying to attain climax. However, the short length can be circumvented somewhat by pinching the rear of the toy with one hand, while simultaneously stretching the toy and thrusting into it with the aid of the other hand. While the UR3 material is porous in nature, the Boca Amiga has proven to be fairly easy to clean and maintain. After each use, I've washed it out using warm water and Cetaphil soap. I then pat it dry with a towel before putting it back in its baggie and original box, and it has done just fine over the past six months. Just be careful if you turn the toy inside-out for cleaning, as the material can easily suffer abrasions and small tears. Since the UR3 material is a porous combination of TPE and Sil-a-gel, it's advised that you avoid using any silicone or petroleum-based lubricants with the toy as these can damage it. Water-based lubricants, then, are the ideal choice.

This was a toy that I really didn't like the first time or two that I used it, mostly because I was using too much lube and trying to thrust too hard, causing myself to pop out of the hole at the toy's back end. Over time, though, I have come to find that the Boca Amiga works best for me when using minimal lubricant. I'll often just use a little saliva on myself or the toy's opening before plunging carefully into it. I say "carefully," because I've found that light stroking allows me to enjoy the inner texture of the toy, while the initial hard thrusting (and over-lubrication) of my first couple of attempts left me plunging right past one of the toy's best features and out the other end!
