While some of Tenga's products look like you need an advanced degree to understand how they’re supposed to work, the Tenga Double Hole Cup is a pretty straight-forward cup that you stick your dick into and let the lubed-up jelly deliver nubbed sensations.

The Double Hole Cup measures at 6 1/2 inches in length and 8 inches in circumference. It is made of plastic and comes with a red and silver plastic label on the outside with the company and product name clearly printed on it. It does not contain a manual of any kind, which was a definite drawback. After removing the label, the sleeve is white and extremely discreet, looking much like a lotion bottle. If you left this cup out in the bathroom or on your nightstand, no one would know that it's really a masturbation sleeve without popping off the lid of one of the sides and sticking their finger inside.

The cup has two points of entry -- on one end is the "Bitter Side", which contains very tightly-knit nubs that provide a tight grasp around the penis; the other end is the "Sweet Side", containing nubs that are more spaced out for a more gentle grasp. The reversible nubs in the Sweet Side also provide a clinging and suction sensation as you move in and out of it and the end of both sides are designed to provide great sensations to the back section of the penis, delivering stimulating sensations to every side of the penis at any angle.

The entire inside of the Double Hole Cup is made of jelly, making it very soft and pseudo-realistic to a woman's vagina in terms of feel. This material is phthalates and latex-free and is also hypoallergenic. The cup is pre-lubricated by a Styrofoam sponge that cushions the cup and works completely "out of the box" without needing to prep the sleeve in any way.

This sleeve being pre-lubricated has its definite advantages, such as not having to worry about what type of lube would work best with it; if you're a beginner just looking for something fun to get yourself off with and don't have lube, you won't have to go through what could be a confusing process of picking the right lube for you. The pre-lubrication also has its disadvantages. I don't know if maybe my partner is just weird because he is the first person I have been with who has had this preference, but he isn't very much into lubrication and prefers something not to be so lubricated, making the Double Hole Cup way too gooey to be as enjoyable as it could be if you could apply your own lube. The lube in this sleeve is also quite messy--by just removing one of the lids, a stream of lube will come off with it and onto anything in the vicinity. Because of the amount of lube in the sleeve, the Double Hole Cup can also be a little loud and the only way I can think of describing the sound you hear is squelching. It literally sounds like squelch, squelch, squelch, so if you're looking for something completely discreet while in use, the amount of lube inside this toy may not work out well for you.

Because the cup's outer layer is plastic, it makes having any additional control over pressure impossible. Even when squeezing the cup, you cannot feel any difference in pressure, which could disappoint those needing extra pressure or who want to feel the nubs press harder against their skin.

While the sleeve itself is 8 inches in circumference, what you literally stick your dick into is not that large. The holes could stand to be a little bigger because, after just one use, my partner broke off a part of the Styrofoam cushioning. When bringing the cup up off his shaft, a piece of Styrofoam stayed down at the base. After that happened, the hole lost some of its initial pressure. The top of both sides of the cup have an air pocket-like section to prevent your penis from coming out at the other end, but men who are a bit longer will wish this sleeve was just an inch or two longer.

When it comes to cleaning the Double Hole Cup, this thing is about as tricky as they come. To be fair, this toy is meant to be disposable, but paying upwards of $20 for something you only use one or twice seems ridiculous to me and my budget agrees. It is possible to give the cup a thorough cleaning by removing the inside jelly sleeve and rinsing with warm water and toy cleaner or a mild soap, but I can't see this sleeve lasting a good, long time in terms of extended use.

While the Tenga Double Hole Cup was an interesting and enjoyable experience, it could definitely use a few tweaks. I would love to see a non-disposable version of this toy that is not pre-lubricated, allowing people to apply the right amount of lube that works for them, and would also make cleaning a lot easier. This sleeve could also be a little longer, which would make it more comfortable to use. The holes themselves could be just a little wider so the Styrofoam cushioning doesn't break off and stay on the shaft of the penis. This may be a great choice to introduce someone to masturbation sleeves, but there are definitely better choices out there that will last a lot longer.
