The Tantus C-Sling is a Ring for Your Thing!

This well-made cock ring works fairly well and, in the event you want to make a fashion statement at a nude beach or during a heated game of strip poker, it can also be used as a visor for your dick! What will they think of next?

Use

I’m afraid to admit it but I haven’t used a Tantus product before (shame on me) and am glad that I finally did! The Beginner’s C-Sling is the first semi-rigid cock ring I’ve tried. Previously, I’ve only used those that have a fair amount of stretch to them. The thought of driving to the emergency room wearing only a cock ring stuck around my boner has simply terrified me. (It would be even more embarrassing if the cock ring didn’t match my eyes – what would the doctors and nurses think if I also showed up with a fashion faux pas?) Fortunately, the C-Sling only comes in black, which looks good with everything!

I was pleasantly surprised when I first examined the C-Sling: it’s well-made from the highest quality silicone and was a bit larger than I had expected. The most unusual feature of this cock ring is its design. As noted in the photo below, it looks a lot like a visor.

C-Sling

I was lucky that Tantus provides excellent instructions:

“To use, place a small amount of lubricant on the inside of the sling and slide the sling around the testicles, then the penis. Its contoured tongue should point down and back toward the anus, to gently massage the perineum. Use the Tantus Beginner C-Sling solo for masturbation, or with a partner for added pleasure!”

Gosh, that sounds great, so I did my best to follow the instructions. I have to admit, I’m really not sure why they call this a sling but it wasn’t too tough to figure out what Tantus meant. So . . . I put just a little lube on the inside of the visor and then tried to slide the sling around my testicles. (Doesn’t that sound clinical? It almost makes me feel like I am a professional masturbator preparing for the big event!). Unfortunately, this turned out to be quite a bit more difficult than I had anticipated. Even though the cock ring is rather large, I had a difficult time trying to get my balls through it. I added a little more lube but that ended up just making a mess. I first attributed this problem to the fact that I hadn’t used a fairly rigid cock ring before – while the C-Sling does bend, it really doesn’t stretch much and, therefore, I really did need to put my nuts through the thing in order to wear it. I spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to get it on the first time (protecting the family jewels is one of the most important things all men need to be concerned about). Of course, I was thrilled when I finally succeeded but then there was the problem with getting my dick into it too (the C-Sling wraps around your entire package).

Fortunately, it was such a challenge getting my balls into it the first time, that I wasn’t the least bit aroused; that would have made it impossible to continue on to the next step – sticking my dick through the ring. Tantus, however, anticipated that and also provided a picture (great for visual leaners too)!

C-Sling Picture Instructions

What could be easier? Well, it’s more difficult than it looks but I finally succeeded! That only left one final detail before the fun could begin – I had to position the “contoured tongue [to] point down and back toward the anus, to gently massage the perineum.” As much as a real tongue would have been appreciated, Tantus was simply referring to the “sling”. Of course, I wanted to make sure I was following the directions (Does that make me “anal”?) so I needed to find out what a perineum is. According to an online dictionary, the perineum is “the region of the abdomen surrounding the urogenital and anal openings.” Doesn’t that sound exciting?

Once I had everything in place, I did what I set out to do in the first place; I POUNDED it! I was very pleased with the C-Sling. Once I got going; I became very hard and remained that way. Cool! Of course, as part of my product testing I also had to set aside some of my fun so I could concentrate on the region between my “urogenital and anal openings” – after all, that was the nether-region that the C-Sling is supposed to provide extra stimulation. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as it really didn’t give me much of a thrill. Just the same, as a cock ring, the Tantus does a fine job.

Material / Texture

The Tantus C-Sling is made from the finest (and hopefully “virgin”) silicone. It’s quite smooth and while there is the slightest hint of a seam, it didn’t bother me. It also comes in a very manly black matt finish that looks great around my junk. As I’ve previously mentioned, this cock ring doesn’t stretch although it does bend a bit. If you decide to try this, just be aware that you will not be able to stretch it over your manhood but will, instead, have to insert your naughty-bits into it manually. There is also no discernible smell or taste – something that I also appreciate.
    • No odor
    • Semi-rigid

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

My overall impression of the C-Sling is that it is well-made and very durable. Although Tantus says that it’s for “beginners”, probably because it’s larger in diameter than their original C-Sling, it will take a bit of practice to put it on. I’ve now used it several times and I’m still having a bit of a challenge with it. Even so, I’m also having problems with it falling off after I finally get it on. This may be due, in part, to using too much lube but I also believe that this could be that the sling is a bit too big (although I can’t imagine squeezing everything through a smaller ring). I think that Tantus might want to reconsider the design of the sling – it seems to be a bit too short; the sensations it provides doesn’t really do anything for me. I do, however, like it as a cock ring and I’m now tempted to try other non-stretchable ones in the future. It's a shame that it seems to fall off so easily, especially since it takes bit of work to get on.
    • Can fit over both shaft and testicles

Functions / Performance / Controls

The C-Sling certainly does a good job of keeping my manhood nice and hard. Tantus, however, can’t be held responsible for performance issues (other than the quality of the product’s manufacturing – which is very high). Ultimately, performance and control can only be ascribed to those using it. Of course like most men, I would consider myself to be a “master” bator – a real pro!
    • Comfortable during use
    • Hard to put on / take off

Care and Maintenance

This cock ring is very easy to clean as it’s made from silicone. Tantus states that this product is “hypoallergenic, hygienic, phthalate-free, boilable, bleachable, easy to clean, and nontoxic.” It can’t get any better than that! It’s highly unlikely that I’ll put this in a pot of boiling water as I’m not particularly fond of crème de la pubic hair soup.

One word of caution: as the C-Sling is made from silicone, only water-based lubes should be used as other types may damage it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

There is nothing exceptional about the packaging – the C-Sling comes in a standard clear plastic clamshell-style blister pack that may be used for storage, although it’s a bit large. Surprisingly, the standard warning that cock rings should not be used for more than 30 minutes at a time is not listed. Tantus, however, feels that it is important to warn users that they will not be liable for “damage to property or death” that may arise out of use of this product. I wonder if anyone has ever died from using a cock ring?

Personal comments

I'm generally very pleased with this cock ring and am hoping that it continues to get easier to put on each time it’s used. Just the same, while the idea is good, I think that Tantus may want to consider redesigning the sling so that it provides more of a thrill. Of course, I suspect that it could be used make a really big fashion statement by putting the C-Sling over the top of your dick, instead of under. Heck, that might even be a good way to prevent a little sun burn to your manhood!
Follow-up commentary
This is a tough one to write a follow-up review. Overall, the C-sling remains a very well-made cock ring but it just isn't for me. I still find it difficult to put on and it doesn't seem to add much as far as extra sensations are concerned as a result of it's design. In addition, it also falls off rather easily. I suspect that this just isn't the right size for me. Just the same, I think that many guys may find this to be a cock addition to their toy box but it's not for everyone. Although I "still like it," I don't use it much. Guess I'll just have to keep trying to find new ones to try!
