Little bit naughty book of sex positions - book discontinued by Amorata Press - review by Penguin

To be frank, my last long-term girlfriend was less than lean and athletic. Our sex life became mundane because a lot of positions didn't work. My current partner is limber and fit, so I'm constantly coming up with ways I want to have her, but when it comes to the moment, I can blank in the frenzy. Without telling my girl that I wanted to surprise her with some kick ass new positions, I just asked if she knew of any Kama Sutra books on EdenFantasys. She pointed me in the right direction. I didn't want to do a lot of reading...go figure right? I ended up choosing this book because its small, has large pictures, and seemed straight forward.

Siobhan Kelly is the author of "The Little Bit Naughty Book of Sex Positions". Kelly is the author of other books such as "The Wild Guide to Sex and Loving".
The book is hardcover and has a hot pink dust sleeve with a picture of a naked couple on the front. It's not graphic though-all the bits are covered. It includes 50 non-missionary positions and is 96 pages long. The size is small (smaller than a DVD case). What I really like about this book, other than the pictures, is that the positions are separated into different categories.

For each position in the category there are four things that get discussed:

1. How to do it: explains how to get in the position and then move in it
2. What's right with it? explains who and what it benefits, what body parts are accessible, and what it stimulates
3. What's wrong with it? explains what might occur that could cause problems or what parts of the body might be neglected or will become hard to reach
4. Variations on the theme: explains slight ways to change the position or creative ways to get into it

#2 & 3 are invaluable. Being with my partner for a long time now, I know what feels good for me, but I don't always connect that with why it feels good for her other than her telling me. The simple break down that Kelly gives, makes it easy to understand why a position might work or not for you and your partner. Kelly sometimes even goes into if it will work for certain weights or heights.

The positions in the book range from easy to difficult but there are plenty in between. The section for anal sex and oral positions are shorter than the rest of the book, but overall there is a nice spread of them. There was only one position that my partner and I agreed was a bad idea. Lets just say we saw it ending with my knees blowing out and my partner taking a nose dive. We decided to skip that one. I didn't like that not all the positions had pictures, but the ones that did were usually large, in color, and helpful. I think every straight couple should have this book. Either sex can benefit from reading it or even just looking at the pictures for ideas.

Having used this book more than a handful of times, I am really glad I got it. I want to graduate to something larger and more complete though. Again, this book sort of lacks in the anal category. After doing a lot of the more basic positions, we have moved on to the ones we didn't think were going to be easy. Some have been easier than others, but all of them have led to the discovery of a new position even if it wasn't the original one intended ha ha.
