Sure, I got a few minutes.

If you are looking for a nice book with a bunch of short stories, then this is the book for you. I usually do not look for short stories, but I decided to make an exception for this one. I wasn't that let down. Some I liked, while others were just blah. To say the least, for me, all the stories were able to be read in under two minutes. I think anyone would like this book, but especially people who like shorter stories.

About author

There are a total of 44 different authors in this book. Twelve of these authors wrote two or more of the short stories. However, there are no author blurbs which kind of sucks.

The authors are: Stephen D. Rogers, Helena Black, Shanna Germain, Saskia Walker, Maria Potoczny, Xan West, Nick Santa Rosa, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Teresa Noelle Roberts, Clare Moore, Aimee Nichols, Michael Hemmingson, Jeremy Edwards, Rakelle Valencia, Jocelyn Bringas, Laura Marks, Alison Tyler, L.A. Mistral, Brooke Stern, Tenille Brown, J. Sinclaire, Sasha White, Debra Hyde, Jolie Du Pre, Tsaurah Litzky, Jordan Castillo Price, Sharon Wachsler, Gwen Masters, Jolene Hui, Cate Robertson, Andrea Dale, Joel a. Nichols, Bonfils, Justus Roux, Jen Cross, Kate Laurie, Lynn Burton, Sylvia Day, Inga Mahn, Kathryn O' Halloran, Kate Vassar, Bonnie Dee, Thea Hutcheson, and N.T. Morley.

Alison Tyler is the editor of the book. She also wrote three of the short stories. This woman has written over 20 novels so far, including Tiffany Twisted and The ESP Affair. Some of her stories you will also find in various anthologies including Nioroticia 3 and Sex in Uniform. Alison has also edited quite a few books like Red Hot Erotica, and is a co-editor of Naughty Fairy Tales from A to Z, plus a few others.

The forward of the book was written by Thomas S. Roche, who is an author of hundreds of short stories. Most of his stories are erotica type stories, though he does write other kinds of books like horror and science fiction.

Content / Style / Audience

Got a Minute? 60 second Erotica has 60 different short stories by 44 different authors. I think in all this book can be read by anyone. There are no difficult words at all. Though, some of the stories may not all be liked. The stories in the book are all under fifteen hundred words. They range from less than a page to about five pages. It is a very quick read. Most of the stories can be read in under two minutes at the most. The small ones can be read in seconds, the longer about two minutes. You get the drift. Once you open the book, there is the usual stuff: title page, copyright/print page, dedication page, and then content page. After that is the forward by Thomas S. Roche. He talks about his version of EPIC sex. After that is an introduction by Alison Tyler, then the short stories themselves.

There is a full range of different topics. Some of the topics include, Bisexuality/Homosexuality, BDSM, oral sex, sex, sex with random people, and many other topics. There are a variety of topics as you can see, so there should be at least a couple stories in this book that you will like. If you like quick stories, then this is a book you might enjoy, for sure. There are multiple sexual orientations, races, and sexual acts in the book. Though, it does have more heterosexual stories than homosexual/bisexual stories.

Design

The book cover is not very discreet, but it is not vulgar either. On the front on the book is a man and woman kissing, both have their shirts off. It also says the book's title "Got a Minute? 60 second Erotica" on it. Also it says Alison Tyler, the editor, and Thomas S. Roche the man who wrote the forward.

On the back is the same man and woman kissing just a little bit more close up. It says "Sixty Sexy Quickies" and has two paragraphs on the back talking about the book and Alison Tyler.

Personal comments

Okay, so I am not the type of person who likes short stories. It just doesn't do anything for me. But I do love quick, to the point porn. I love long books, so longer erotica fits me best. But I decided I wanted to see how this book was, and it wasn't too bad. However, a few of the stories were boring.

I seemed to notice a few of these stories about woman with other women, which I like. Also there were a lot of stories including oral sex. One story I liked a lot, because it made me giggle, was "What kind of a slut are you, anyway?" by N.T. Morley. It did this question and answer type thing. Then at the end it told you to total up your points. Some of the answers were just goofy as hell.

Also the "Rider" by Clare Moore and "The Last Good-bye" by Alison Tyler were two of my favorites by far. Though, "As she was told" by Tenille Brown was awesome. I think I liked "As she was told" the best because of the hotel feel about it. I lived in hotels for years and years. I love them. At one hotel in particular, there used to be this man and woman who stayed there. He was like 60 and she about 30. He was a married man so they would meet at the hotels for a few hours. They used to walk around trying to get people to join them. They would also leave their curtains open all night while they had sex. You would walk by their room, see candles flickering, and two people having sex. They would switch up hotels every so often and do the same thing at all the hotels. This story reminded my of these people so much. It makes me wonder if they are still at it.
Follow-up commentary
This is an ok book. I still like it, though I really don't read it much. It was a good read.
