From all the reviews I've read , I still wanted to get the book myself. This was one of E. L. James first books, so it wasn't that great but it was a good piece. The scenes aren't something a more advanced person would do on a daily basis, but more of a beginner will like this book and pick up some ideas.
E. L. James , whose birth name is Erika Mitchell (Leonard), is a 49 year old woman who has been married for over 20 years and has two kids. Whose intentions were to write a Twilight FanFiction that turned into this lovely trilogy. She states that this book is described as her midlife crisis, and all her fantasies are written in the book.
When reading this book, it's just pretty much like reading books 1 & 2 all over again, just a little bit differently. The only difference is that Christian is more open and less mysterious. We find out he does in fact have a soft, lovable side since he and Ana are married and find out they are expecting.
You still have the drama, and the sex. It's nothing really new or exciting to me. I just felt like I kept reading the same book over and over again, I just wanted to stop reading. It's not all that bad, the trilogy is interesting but I wouldn't read it again.
There is two bonus sections towards the ending. It's called "Fifty's First Christmas" & "Meet Fifty Shades".
I thought the "Meet Fifty Shades" section was very interesting since it was Christian's point of view from when Ana and him first met in book 1.
If you're looking for a book about true BDSM, then this one isn't what you want. This is more of a light erotica romance novel. Which is interesting for readers who like romance.

Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore14 days after original review
I just honestly read this when I'm bored and have nothing else to do. I am looking foward to any future books E.L James comes out with maybe, it will be more interesting but as for now this is just some type of reading material to bring with you.
