Contributing to Girls on Top are also a group of lesser-known writers. Take for example, Remittance Girl who lives in exile in Vietnam. She is a dedicated practitioner of online writing in all its forms and a cultivator of obscene orchids. There is Giselle Renarde, a Canadian eroticist, and pastry-enthusiast. She is author of The Birthday Gift (Dark Eden Press), and Love Bites (Torquere Press). Giselle lives across from a park with two bilingual cats that sleep on her head! From San Francisco is Virgie Tovar, a twenty-five-year-old sexpert, breast activist, and author of Destination DD: Adventures of a Breast Fetishist with 40DDs. Virgie leads workshops in erotic self-discovery and is a sex educator. Erica K. is the pseudonym of a Midwestern advertising executive. This is her first published story. Layla Briar is an overworked suburban hockey mom who makes a living as a writer/editor/researcher and who, in secret, is brilliant on RockBand! Last but not least, is Jana Corell, a pseudonym of a Midwestern college student who is generally pretty mellow, but occasionally dabbles in being a dominant bitch. Her story "With A Smile on Your Face" is not exactly a true story, but she didn't really make ALL of her story up, either.

The storylines described in this book cover new and racy themes of untamed, wild, nasty and present-day encounters of fantasy dominating female sexual promiscuity. All of the stories were well-written and allowed you to get to know the characters behind their sexual desires.

Here are summaries of a few stories that I liked.

How submissive can a NFL quarterback for the Chicago Bears be to his wife Hannah, for the first time? In S. J. Frost's "Quarterbacking" we see a sweet journey into first time girl-on-top domination. The use of restraints can uncover exquisite sexual pleasures. But with all her teasing, it will be Hannah who will experience the sharp ecstasy sparked through her clit when her orgasm hits.

In "Central Registry" we find quite a bit of humor for an erotica short story involving a party girl visited by two young Jehovah's Witnesses. But there's no 'saving' the party girl from her sinful ways - she turns the tables and executes a perfect plot to instead 'save' both boys of their virtues that we are all sinners, by performing sexual acts on them!

"Tonight, my little slut, you're going to learn to suck cock" is the first sentence in "Erica's John". Not all tales start out with a girl in the driver's seat. In "Metamorphosis" by Anastasia Mavromatis, the protagonist has long taken the backseat to her husband. She transforms herself by being on top and between the legs of another girl, sixty-nine degrees away from her former life!

For a version of lesbianism, Giselle Renarde's "Spring Fever" spotlights a mysterious gypsy queen girl, Dotschy, caught off-guard by her attraction to a friend, Connor. She is lured by his semi-closet, trans-curious and crossed-dress conduct. With her fixation for sex, she fits a man's stereotype for direct, possessive, and competitive behavior. Those of you who read exotic or fantasy books will recognize Violet Blue. She is the editor of Girls on Top a 215 page paperback book copywriter in 2009 by Cleis Press Inc. It is comprised of 20 exotic short-stories by and for women in racy, hilarious and powerful journeys of sex. These stories are brought to you by 20 different female erotica writers, both well-known and not-so-familiar in the industry. All these stories are filled with surprises and unexpected twists. They are about 6-7 pages long, with the shortest only 3 pages and the longest 9 pages. The stories are portrayed from a first-person perspective in a girl-on-top domination seeking to break all the rules for getting off by satisfying their sexual appetite.

The title of this book caught my eye with a simple thought: to explore the world of explicit female domination. The front cover has a picture of a girl on top of her male partner enjoying the pleasures of executing her sexual fantasies. The glossy covers give sturdy support for repeated use for years to come. There is a section in the back of the book which provides a brief biography of the writers. I do not feel the front picture is as provocative as other erotica books in print. The title does not expose all the secrets found within its pages.

The back cover lists the writers found in Girls on Top together with a couple of short summaries to highlight the variety of stories found in the book.

I consider Violet Blue one of my favorite writers/editors. As I indicated earlier, she has several well written ultimate guide books available here at Eden Fantasys. I have found no other books on the market better than her guides to fellatio, cunnilingus and strap-on sex. If you have interests in those areas, I highly recommend them.

As for Girls on Top, the reader can easily engage in the role of the characters and experience the rush of sexual dominance, MMF threesomes, ladies in leather and dungeons and the use of whips. There were women who engaged in gripping group sex of all ages, scenes of gay males and still others who used nipple clamps to heighten the rush of arousal. The gifted authors portray sexually rapacious female protagonists with real fantasies, but also show a flawed side to their conflict in taking charge of their own sexuality.

I was pleasantly surprised to see several stories of a humorous nature. In those obvious situations, when a girl is on top and in control, there were acts of wit and teasing. Sometimes there were acts of love, but in the end it was the power of the woman taking charge to fulfill her utmost erotic fantasy.

Violet exceeded my expectations in the selection of stories she picked to create this book. It was fun for me to read and be inspired. As I have said before, reading these stories can be very captivating and definitely better than porn in so many ways. I gave this book five stars because I found all the stories appealing to a broad spectrum of readers who may differ in their sexual orientation.

I discovered women willing to dominate their sexual fantasies; to step out and take charge. Being on top and getting what you want was the underlining theme in this book.

These stories broke all the rules whether they were their own or society's rules about sex. When an assertive girl wants, takes and gets, anything is possible and the ending always feels free, light and wonderfully exhilarating! Allow me to indulge by sharing my fantasy of humor and broken rules in a story I wrote, called "Fantasy Times Two."

I just don’t understand what happened. I spent more than four months cultivating a business client to provide advertising services. Now it was all for naught. That's the story of my life!
