Tantric massage oil - oil discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Mamastoys

The Tantric massage oil is a smooth feeling oil that can be used for tantric-, erotic, or sensual massages. This product would work well for any couple who enjoy giving or receiving massages either as stand alone time with their partner or as foreplay.

The information page doesn't include a list of ingredients so if you are prone to allergies, I would recommend a small skin test to be sure there are no allergies. It is not marketed as a lubricant so it is not recommended to be used as such.

This is a smooth oil that pours out slowly and doesn't become tacky or sticky after applying. The bottle top has one of the pour resistant tops that requires you to shake it to get the oil out. The oil pours out slow enough and is thick enough that it doesn't run immediately after being poured out. It runs into the skin easily and leaves the skin feeling smooth and relaxed.

It is not marketed as an oil with any taste and although that was not my intent, it had no significant taste to it when my lips touched where I had rubbed it on my hubby. The smell is amazing but may be a little too strong for some. It is a very calming, down to earth smell, not a flowery, sicking type of smell. Unfortunately, my hubby has no taste or smell so it was up to me to judge this part. I have allergies to certain smells and can not tolerate really loud smells and this is not one that bothered me at all.

The oil went on smoothly and rubbed into the skin rather quickly, but not too quickly that it became dry or tacky feeling. The after affect of the oil was a smooth feeling skin. It did not have to be washed off or removed immediately after use. I left mine on overnight and had no adverse effects from it the following morning.
The oil can be applied to and by anyone of any gender and is not marketed at any particular group of people. The best part of the oil is the awesome smell followed closely by the way it rubs into the skin. The only downfall to the product is the packaging which is discussed below and has not impact on the performance of the oil.

The Tantric Massage Oil by California Exotics comes in an 8 ounce plastic bottle. While the bottle has an unique design, it is not very functional. When it arrived in a clear plastic bag, the first thing I noticed was that the inside of the bag has some liquid substance. I thought this was just from the shipping process but was sadly disappointed to find that if left laying on its side, the bottle does tend to leak. The bottle itself has a long neck which I found was too tall to fit inside my nightstand drawer, where I keep our lotions and oils.
The top of the bottle has a twist top that requires two hands to open. Once the top is removed, there is a small hole in the top of the bottle, one similar to Worcestershire bottle.
The only indicator of what the is inside the bottle is a label that appears to have been applied in a hurry. Mine was not on the bottle straight and had a big crease in it.
The packaging is the only drawback to the product. If California Exotics could perfect this flaw, the product would be the best around.

When I think of oil, I generally relate it to something that is messy and requires cleaning shortly after being used. This product does not fit that classification. It goes into the skin easily and doesn't leave a oily or tacky feeling and doesn't require immediate clean up. The oil is available in several different fragrances for a great low price.

I received this oil the day before I left on a week long trip to Haiti. We used it the night I received it and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was impressed with the smoothness in which the oil soaked into the skin and I loved the smell. While hubby couldn't smell it, he also stated he enjoyed the way the oil felt on his skin. It only took a small amount of oil so I am anticipating the bottle to last for a long time. Now that I am back home, I look forward to trying it again and re-evaluating it.
