Delectibly Scented Souffle

It's very hard to find a lotion that will actually make you feel like you've moisturized without leaving some sort of greasy residue behind. Intimate Organics has wowed me with their ability to do that. In addition to having a heavenly gourmet chocolate scent, this souffle is also completely vegan and sinks into the skin wonderfully.

Use

While you could in theory use this body souffle to aid in massages, its best purpose is as a body lotion. It sinks into the skin very quickly and very well, leaving you feeling clean and moisturized without feeling greasy at all.

Those who are sensitive to stronger scents might want to avoid this because the scent can be fairly overwhelming at first. However it does dissipate over time, eventually leaving just a light trace on the skin.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

At first I was really worried this would have a very watery consistency because when I first removed the foil freshness seal, there was a ring of very watery lotion. But once I squeezed some out, I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't runny in the least bit. You could open the tube and hold it upside down; unless you squeeze it, nothing is coming out. This means that unless you put a huge glob on somewhere, it's gonna stay where you put it.

It has a rich velvety texture to it, and glides into the skin quite nicely. There's even a slight shimmer to it that when I first saw it, reminded me very much of a sunless tanning lotion or a bronzing lotion. But don't worry, this souffle won't change the color of your skin at all, and it won't give you any shimmery effects either.

Taste / Aroma

Don't taste this. It's not edible, despite how yummy it may smell. I got the cocoa bean and goji berry. I've never personally smelled a goji berry before, so I wasn't sure what to expect exactly. You can definitely smell the cocoa. In fact, the souffle smells very much like a gourmet fruit filled or flavored chocolate.

The strength of the scent isn't so strong that you can smell it on someone across the room; but, if you were standing there talking to someone who was wearing it, you could smell it on them without much trouble. The scent does fade a bit with time however. I can still smell it on my skin very lightly the morning after I put it on before bed.
    • Smells good

Performance

So far, this has been the second moisturizing product I've ever used (and I've used a lot) that I haven't felt the need to reapply to my hands 20 minutes later. I use it all over my body after a shower, and normally after showers I have to reapply lotion to my hands 2 or 3 times to keep them from looking and feeling really dry, and with this souffle, I haven't had to do that. It leaves my skin feeling soft and not greasy and sinks in fast enough that I don't have to worry about losing a lot of it by putting on my clothes.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Long lasting

Packaging

The tube this souffle comes in is really nice. The most risque thing about it is that it does have the word 'intimate' on it and a wet stomach, but even then, there's really nothing all that bad about this bottle. I wouldn't hesitate to keep it out in the open.

The front lists the scent that you have, tells you that it's made with certified organic extracts, is paraben and dea free, naturally derived, and pure vegan.

The back lists the ingredients as well as directions and even includes a little blurb from the company.

The ingredients are: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Prolylene Glycol, Glycerul Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate, Aroma, Dimethicone, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Triethaniolamine, Polysorbate 20, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Benzophenone 3, Methylisothiazolinone (and) Phenethyl Alcohol (and) PPG-2- Methyl Ether, Disodium EDTA, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, BHT, Cyclomethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water (and) Alcohol (and) Certified Organic Lycium Barbarum (Goji Berry) Fruit Extract (and) Certified Organic Cymbopogon choenathus (Lemon Grass) Leaf/Stem extract (and) Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Extract. May also contain: Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 33, and Ext. Violet 2

Those of you who are sensitive to or have allergies to aloe should avoid this souffle.

The closure on this particular tube of lotion is a screw cap. This is better than a flip cap because this way you can make sure it's closed for sure, and get just a little bit more control when dispensing.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense

Experience

I'm really impressed with this stuff. I love how fast it sinks into my skin. I love not having to constantly reapply to my hands. I love that my fiance doesn't find the scent to be overly feminine and he thinks it smells like gourmet chocolate too. I do like the scent; although, it did have to grow on me, and I'm looking forward to adding the fresh orange/wild ginger and coconut/lemon grass scents to my collection.
Follow-up commentary
I do still enjoy this lotion, although I admit I don't use it as often as I could. That's mostly because I have an obscene amount of body lotion and alternate scents a lot. When I want to smell like a gourmet chocolate however, I go for this. I still definitely recommend it to anybody who's thinking about trying it out.
