Pros
Delicious in taste and scent. Perfect for a sensual massage.
Cons
Can get sticky, not diabetic friendly.
The Kama Sutra company philosophy is "to help loving couples create joyful experiences of intimacy and tenderness. Through such intimacy, physically and emotionally healthier human beings emerge, who in turn become more able to give love to the world. This philosophy gave birth to our company mantra: Making love Betterâ„¢". Time after time their products have proven to be perfect at doing just that. The Oil of Love was the first product produced by Kama Sutra and it has been on the market since 1969. This product as well as their other products are superb in their ability to be practical, sensual, and to work with each other to lead to moments of intense pleasure.
The Oil of Love by Kama Sutra is an oil in name only. It is not an oil, and does not contain any oil. I have three flavors of this and none list oil as an ingredient. The Kama Sutra site also specifies that these are not actually an oil but are water based products that seem to mimic the qualities of an oil. To me, it is more like the physical qualities of a syrup, but it just does not sound appealing as a massage syrup. The travel size item that is sold on Eden lists cinnamon oil as an ingredient. I have that actual product in Strawberry Dreams and it is not listed on my product packaging as an ingredient.
The Oil of Love comes in a nice glass bottle and it is closed with a cork and sealed with plastic on the bottle and on the canister the bottle comes in when you get it to insure ultimate consumer safety. The four ounce size is a great choice individually or if you get it as a part of a set. There are about 10 uses in this size product. Please store this in a safe place as it is glass and can easily be broken.
Since this is a water based product, it is latex and toy safe. I have personally tested the Oil of Love and how latex condoms will react to it. After blowing up a condom slightly I rubbed a generous amount of this on the condom. Even an hour after the product had not caused deterioration of the latex. The area where it was applied was not thinner, nor was it easier to break than a condom that this was not used on. This does not mean that this should be used for vaginal or anal penetration as this is an external use only product, but it does mean that it is a safe option for having safe oral sex with your own loving partner.
All of the flavors of this are wonderful and distinct. They are sweet but not sickeningly and overly sweet. There is a light tartness and spice to the flavor. The taste and warming sensation to the tongue is long lasting even after the product is absorbed into the skin.
As a massage aid this really is wonderful. It is silky and smooth. There is warming and a tingly sensation delivered to the skin with each tender touch and breath. Through out this experience you are treated to the mouth watering aroma of your chosen scent. If too much is used it can get a bit sticky, but following up with a romantic shower or bubble bath is an added reward. There are artificial colors in the oil. Having a towel or throe under you and your partner when using this is recommended.
Unfortunately this does contain glycerin which is known to contribute to yeast infections in females. Sucrose is also an ingredient making this a non diabetic friendly product. Most versions contain red dye that can also cause allergic reactions or sensitivity in certain individuals. During use I have not noticed any sort of reaction, but please, always check the ingredients of any sensual product if you have ever had a reaction to a cosmetic before.

Experience
As far as the flavors go that I have tried, I love the Tangerines and Cream and Strawberry Dream. There are many other flavor/scent choices available and there is something for every one. The tangerine has more of a cotton candy flavor than an orange tone and there is definitely a taste of cream in the flavor. The strawberry is a lot like a high quality strawberry candy or drink. Of the three I have the raspberry is my least favorite. I found it to be a bit too artificial tasting for me. This however will vary from person to person and individual preferences.
To use this we usually start out with a normal massage and lots of caressing with light kisses all over. It is great for oral sex because of the slickness, luscious flavoring and tingly warming sensations. The flavor is long lasting on the skin making this a good choice to wear as a fragrance on special evenings to give your partner a subtle hint about how the evening will end.
I must say I am impressed with the Kama Sutra company and range of products. All of the products seem to perfectly compliment and accent each other. I appreciate that the packaging is always elegant, classy and reusable as decoration or storage. Their dedication to produce quality products and customer service is exemplary. It is meaningful that their intentions lie in creating more love through out society as a whole. I do wish the products were more diabetic and vegan friendly.
