Body wash - soap discontinued by Venus - review by married with children

This is used like any other liquid body wash. Pour a quarter sized drop on your wash mitt/sponge, lather, and scrub away. We love liquid body wash over the bar type, because the bar soap leaves a residue on where ever you store it. The liquid body wash can sit anywhere, and can travel without creating a mess. The scents are a little on the girly side, but it can be used by men.

This has the same consistency/thickness of liquid hand soap. It pours very well from the bottle. If not paying attention, you could easily pour too much on your wash mitt. This does not stay in place. It is not something you would want to pour into your hands and then lather up. I find it works well on the wash scrunchies my wife picks up from wal-mart. The liquid stays on the scrunchy long enough to wet and lather.

This has a smooth, slick feel to it. It reminds me of the feeling JO H2O has. (though I would not want to use this as a sex lube)

This smells exactly like fresh cut peaches. I have the body scrub and room spray, also in peach; and they all smell the same. Venus sure hit the nail on the head with the peach scent. Cant say the same for their other scents, as I have not tried them.

The peach scent is not over powering. You can smell it when you open the bottle. It does not knock you down, but gives you more of a gently nudge of peach scent. When you use it, it leaves your skin with a slight peach scent to it. Others would not be able to smell it, unless they where in your personal bubble (hugging, getting intimate, ect..). So those of you with sensitive sinuses, no need to worry with this scent.

This works pretty well. It is no Dove body wash, but it still does what it claims and leaves you clean after use. Your skin feels slightly dry after use. I feel that this wash could use more moisturizers added to it, but that's just my option. After lathering your body up, this washes off pretty easily.

We have used this about a dozen times so far, and we still have over half the bottle left. Of-course it all depends on how much you use with each wash, but I see this bottle lasting about a month or more.

This bottle came wrapped in a plastic bag. The bottle is made of pretty heavy duty plastic. (my wife dropped it in the shower from a height of about 3 feet, it survived the drop) This should travel well, with minimal spillage. The bottle is 8 ounces, and has a screw on top. This top makes it hard to open with one hand, almost impossible at times. There is a sticker on the back with general info about venus body wash and a list of ingredients.

Like stated above, I wish this moisturized better then it does. It could be that I am used to using Dove. I have been using Dove for 10 plus years, so my body could just be used to the Dove. But this left me feeling slightly dried out after my shower. Also the price is slightly high for 8 ounces of product.
