Shimmer cream - shimmer discontinued by Sensuous Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

Shimmer Cream from Sensuous Beauty is a rich sensuous body cream made with all natural ingredients, and contains golden, sun-colored sparkles to adorn and moisturize the body. Use where sparkles are desired, but avoid eye area, and use topically. There’s not very many sparkles, just enough to make your skin shimmer, but the long-lasting fragrance is where this product really shines.

Shimmer Cream comes in a 1.25 oz jar with a screw off lid. All the information about the product is on the label of the jar. It is rather expensive, but you don’t need much at all to get a nice coverage. I use about two dime sized dabs for my neck, so I know this will last me a long time. Nothing about this jar says that you got it at a sex shop, so feel free to leave it out.

I chose the Amber sun scent, but it also comes in Vilet Moon. Usually amber is a bit sweeter, and this seems kind of musky to me, but it’s not bad by any means. It made me sneeze a couple of times, but that’s what happens with most floral scents I encounter.

The fragrance is quite strong, so some people will be sensitive to this product. Ingredients are: organic, cold-pressed non-gmo sunflower oil, distilled water, shea butter, beeswax, vitamin E oil, amber, carrot oil and golden sun-colored cosmetic grade sparkles.

The cream takes a while to absorb, which allows the sparkles to linger on your skin longer. There is only a hint of sparkles, so you don’t have to worry about them getting everywhere. A couple of dabs of this cream lasted me a few hours, so this is perfect for going out, and you don’t have to bring the jar along.

The cream has a smooth creamy consistency, much like other lotions, or moisturizing creams. The sparkles can’t really be felt until you apply the cream, and you can spread them around as desired. The cream is oil based, but it can be easily washed off with warm water and soap.

I really enjoy the scent and the touch of shimmer it provides for my skin. I wasn’t expecting this product to last very long, but it lasts on my neck for about 3 hours. That’s a lot longer than most perfumes. I definitely recommend this for any lady looking for that extra boost without being completely covered in sparkles.

I don't wear this stuff everyday because I'm not a huge glitter fan, but I do wear this occasionally. Be careful where you place the glitter because your hair will attract to it and stick to it. The cream takes a long time to absorb, but it smells wonderful.
