Ooooh, shiny!

Not Soap Radio's Shiny lip balm is more of a gloss than a balm. It smells sweet and fruity but the flavor is barely there if you lick your lips. If you're looking for a nice, thick, shine, then you have found it here. It does moisturized but will need reapplied after while.

Not Soap Radios's Shiny lip balm is indeed shiny, but nowhere close to being a balm. This stuff has the consistency of Vaseline lip products, not too thick, not too thin. It is sweetly glossy. It is used to moisturize your lips while making them shiny and pretty.

The ingredient list is very short: Petrolatum, Cottonseed oil, Flavor
There are no phthalates, sulfates, triclosan, or parabens.

This is probably the thickest of the potted balms that I have tried from Not Soap Radio (well, besides the "breath freshening" one). It is very easy to get some on your finger by just scooping it into the pot. It feels thick when applied to your lips and leaves them slick. It doesn't really feel sticky on my lips but it did on my finger. It does make your lips feel smoother but doesn't last as long as their tubes of lip balm do. Drinking or giving a kiss may leave you needing to reapply some.
The flavors/scents seem to vary with the Shiny balm. I couldn't quite put a scent or flavor to mine so I looked at some other reviews, still, I just don't smell or taste those with mine. It smells super sweet and fruity, maybe like Sweet Tarts...? The taste, I can't place. It is faintly sweet, it isn't unpleasant but isn't something that makes me want to lick it up.

As for performance, it really stays true to its name, Shiny! It is colored, mine is a light bubblegum pink but doesn't put any color to the lips so it would be great to put over lipstick for some shine and moisture. I love how super shiny it is. It stays present for a decent time but will need reapplication after while to keep the shine fresh and noticeable.

As with the other potted balms by this company, the pot is plastic with a cute, girly label. It is small enough for your purse or even your pocket.

I really loved the consistency of this gloss, it is just where I like glosses to be as far as thickness goes. I just wasn't pleased with the flavor I got, because it was barely there; it smells nice though! If you aren't worried about flavor, then I'm sure this would be great for someone that loves a thick, shiny gloss.
Follow-up commentary
I like this balm and the thick texture. I love the glossy look it leaves on your lips. I just wish I had a better flavor than the one I got.
