Our first threesome--me, the Mrs. and Pheromones Massage Oil!!!

For us, this is as close to perfect as it gets for a massage oil. All our boxes were checked, checked and checked. Functional massage oil, inexpensive, great scent, not messy and softens skin. We love it and hope you will also. It's always nice to hear your feedback if you have used this item. I am ignoring the fact that there are no pheromones because in my mind that does not take away from the wonderful performance of this product.

Use

The Mrs and I have decided it's time to take this massage thing more seriously and since both of us enjoy scents around when there is time for play, we picked this particular oil so we can check off 2 boxes at one time. This product's name is "Pheromones massage oil" on the product page here at Eden Fantasys, but the bottle itself displays the scent in large, bold letters and very discreetly at the top of the label, in much smaller lettering, says "massage oil with pheromones". It seems to be a product in search of a name -how sad. I would not hesitate to suggest and recommend this massage oil to anyone who wants an inexpensive, nicely scented massage oil. There is no reason to hide this from children or guests, although most of us would keep it in a drawer or the bathroom closet. I don't see many using it as a dining table centerpiece, but then again...guess who's coming to dinner!!

Now here is the big announcement, so ladies, have the tissues ready. The oldman here has a long history of prostate troubles and is in danger of losing the big little bugger all together. I know - it brings me to my knees just thinking about it. You can stop those tears because there is no cancer and life goes on, as "they" say (BTW, if you ever meet this "they", send him my way...I have a few things to tell him). BUT, both the Mrs and I agree (again, a surprise) that we will miss my prostate, however sick he may be. I miss him already.

We have used the oil several times at this point and with our limited knowledge of massage oils (we've only used the System JO glide massage oil and baby oil) this was the best of the 3. Ms. Airen Wolf suggested olive oil and that'll be our next sample. If it doesn't work out as a massage oil, we can at least eat each other. So, in anticipation of any pending problems in the bedroom, we are testing the waters for other ways to enjoy our intimate moments together. Massage is near the top of the list. Right now it's a short list, but we have it on the refrigerator and if an idea pops into either of our heads, we jot it down. It's still a short list. Cuddles, kisses and massages - so far, a short list. A collection of fine oils will add to our experience.

We put a very soft blanket on top of the bed to catch any drippy oil. You all know that an oil will stain your bed linens (or wherever you happen to be), don't you? (I am pausing for your answers) It is also important to avoid clothing because an oil will also stain most clothing. The Mrs. did me 1st (that's a change up right there). When she first poured a bit of the oil on my back, it startled me and felt pretty darn cold. When the Mrs began moving her hands around it warmed up quickly. She made a heart with the oil on my back, but I didn't know that until she told me - all I knew is that it started out cold. Mrs estimates she started with 2 teaspoons of oil.

I forgot to give you an important piece of information. We read a book. A massage book. A massage book available on EdenFantasys. We chose "The Touch of Love" because we liked the title and it was inexpensive (under $15). It turned out to be a 5 star choice. The Mrs put her hands on my upper back and slowly, with no pressure, spread the oil around my entire back. She then got creative and rubbed some oil around her hands so that they would match my back and not suck up any oil. That was a nice idea and it seemed to work because she didn't add any more oil and her hands glided easily as she slowly moved in large and then small circles while increasing the pressure. I felt fine. I felt so darn fine that I forgot how this was going to end (with actual sex!!). After the back, she started to get a tad worn out; we didn't want to waste all that good energy, but she wanted me to get the full effect, so she put a bit more oil in her palm and warmed it up before starting at my feet (she always gave me great foot massages, but this was the first with any oil). After a quickie toe relaxation, she moved up to my calves and then the thighs. While I was still on my tummy, she did the shoulders and down the arms. So far, there was only the need for 2 applications of oil. Again we agreed, that was a pretty efficient oil we were using.

There wasn't much left to do, so with no more oil I rolled over and she finished up my arms. No need to knead the front of my legs, they were already relaxed, very relaxed and getting very excited in anticipation as I remembered what we were there for, so time was called on the massage. The rest, as they say, is history.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The oil itself is clear, and I would put it at the upper end of viscosity: on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being very thin and 10 being as thick as it gets, we both agreed (now, that is something to write about) that this massage oil rates an 8. Now, an 8 is excellent for massage oils. Most folks would want an oil that will not run from the area being massaged and would not want an oil that takes too much pressure to spread around.

It was easy to pour the oil from the bottle and the cap was nice and secure, preventing any leaks if it happened to be knocked over. The massage was smooth and the oil was easily absorbed into the skin but still coated the skin so that the Mrs could move around with no friction. There is no tackyness, stickyness or greasy feeling that some oils have. The Mrs. has been using the oil as a skin lotion for her hands. Skin gets very dry in the cold climates. She likes the oil as a hand lotion because it seems more impermeable to water than regular hand lotion and seems to work longer at keeping her hands comfortable.
    • Good for dry skin
    • Smooth
    • Velvety

Taste / Aroma

We chose the cucumber/melon and were pleased with our choice. It doesn't smell like cucumbers or melon, but it does have a surprisingly familiar, light, warm scent and yet tantalizingly exotic at the same time. At intimate moments it is nice to have such a pleasant and natural scent. The extremely light taste matches the scent, however, the scent is much more pleasant than the taste. The taste is not off-putting, but it is not an oil I would use as a lubricant and then perform oral sex on either partner. The scent fades quickly which is too bad because we would have liked it to have more staying power.

According to the company, what separates this oil from the rest of the pack, is the addition of pheromones so my final caveat about this oil: it is promoted to have pheromones which suggest that by taking a whiff of this stuff your partner will stop, drop and roll as s/he gets ready for you to attack based purely on uncontrollable animal instincts. This did not happen to us. If it had, the Mrs. may have given me a black eye and I'd be telling you how I walked into a door... I believe that people do have a natural scent, pheromone if you will, and after many years there is a silent attraction to your partner's. Silent is the key word here. Silent meaning we are unaware of its subliminal action and our natural response. This can not be artificially made and I for one, would like to see these claims eliminated from all products on the market. A massage itself will bring out your natural pheromones and turn on any urges you are feeling.

    • Light taste

Performance

The oil was very economical to use. Although the bottle contains 4 fluid ounce, it sells for the low price of $8.99. A little goes along way. We have used this oil several times and it doesn't look like we have used even half an ounce. It absorbs nicely and quickly, into the skin leaving no residue behind that would require washing it off. As the skin absorbs the oil, nice smooth and soft skin magically appears.

The feel of the oil is great, the scent is great and for us, just having an oil around with the designation of a "massage oil" is an incentive to get busy. What I don't like is the company's claim that this oil has pheromones and will help those with a low libido. The sports manufacturer known primarily for their athletic shoes has a saying that applies here - for those with a low libido, "JUST DO IT"; with or without artificial pheromones, your libido will increase each time.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

Packaging

Packaging? What packaging? The bottle actually looks like an old fashioned roll on deodorant, but when you unscrew the cap there is no roller, only a wide top to get the oil (and juices) flowing onto your partner's body. It is a cute size and shape and for us it is nostalgic...back to the deodorants of the 1970's when many of you reading this were not even a spark in your parents eyes. There are no instructions, but the tag of massage oil seems pretty easy to get the idea. If you need more instructions, buy the book (or go to the library).

As far as travel, although this is small, it contains 4 ounces which is over the 3 ounce limit. As we found out the hard way, it does no good to bring a 4 ounce bottle with only an ounce left because they TSA go by the actual container. Pack it in your checked baggage, or if you are like many people who do not check baggage because of the high fees, pick up some massage oil at your destination. If that can't be found, you can always find some baby oil or olive oil just about any place you would travel.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Travel friendly

Special Features

As stated earlier in this review, I want to stress the company's claim that there are pheromones in this product do not seem true. We have sniffed and spread this oil on our bodies and that does nothing for either of our libidos. Other than that claim this is a 5 star product as a massage oil, a delightful scent and a super skin softener
    • Cool on contact and then warms up
Follow-up commentary
We still both love this stuff. Still no pheromones, but a great massage oil and skin conditioner. I love the smell--whenever we open it, I take a long, deep whiff. Hmmmmmmmmmmm..........

Great Review! I’ve been studying these arrays of products for some time. I took notice of the ‘Sensuous’ for the price, but I eventually chose JO’s new H2O Raspberry Sorbet for massage as well as my cunnilinguist activity! It tastes great!
