Simple and Creme

The Simply sensual shower creme is a bath and shower gel. It's designed to lather you up, make you clean, and take care of your skin. It has moisturizers, great scents, and doesn't leave a displeasing residue behind. Given its good price, I would easily choose this bath gel over body washes from major companies *cough, Bath and body, cough.*

This body wash is great for general use. While it says bath and shower gel, I think this product shines better as a shower gel. If you're looking for something for purely the bathtub, then there are better bubble baths out there. Also, if you are choosing the shower creme for its pheromone properties, it's important to note that almost ALL products that contain pheromones will work sketchy at best. The ingredients are generally not conclusively linked to being great pheromones (in most cases).

Still, this is a great body wash and leaves a nice scent. If you have sensitive skin, it's always best to read the product label carefully. You can also do a test spot and wash only a small section of skin. Then wait a day or two to check for possible allergic reactions. I won't leave an ingredients list because it is pretty damn long.

The shower creme isn't extraordinary, it is like most shower gels. It is an opaque pink/beige color. It does have a sheen to it when you pour it (but it's not intended to make skin sparkly or anything). It won't run off your hands like water and holds to itself okay. If you don't use a shower pouf or lather it, clumps of it could slide down your body before you get a chance to sud it.

The creme is easy to pour out of the bottle. It has a basic, snap open-closed, top. The bottle's plastic has integrity, so it takes a little force to pour it. If you hold it upside down and wait, it will not drizzle out.



After washing, I didn't feel any film or residue on me. I felt clean. When using for the bath, I didn't notice a difference to the water until I added too much product in the tub (I tend to add 2 or 3 times the recommended amount for these things). When I used more than 2 times the recommended amount in the bath tub, the water felt... slippery. There was a little film feeling to my skin if I didn't scrub my skin. But this doesn't happen if you use a normal amount of product.

The shower creme is not edible, in fact, ingestion would probably be uncomfortable and unsafe. The smell, however, is lovely. The scent is ginger and pomegranate. Since I'm not familiar with how pomegranate smells, it reminds me of bubblegum and papaya. If you don't like ginger, this product might still work for you. The ginger isn't overwhelming.Instead it's lightly spicy. If you love ginger and fruity smells, this scent may be for you. It is more full bodied than a "just fruity" scent. The ginger almost adds a bit of sophistication to it.

But I digress, the smell is nice and it won't knock you over from intensity. Your bathroom and surrounding area will also smell nicely of your shower cream after you're done washing with it, which is nice.

If you only have the shower creme in this scent and plan on using other scented bath products, try not to combine too many scents together. Try and stick with milder or like scented items if you're using this product (so you don't smell too mixed or odd).

Again, this product is advertised for 3 things: the shower, the bath, and pheromone sexiness.

Shower: A
Using this in the shower is great. It spreads well and will last you a while. It's a great price and can be used with a shower pouf or loofa.

Bath: C-
The shower creme is also advertised to be a bubble bath. If you don't have any other bubble bath on hand, then this can be used in a jiffy. But this shouldn't be your go-to bubble bath. The bubbles thin out quickly,and don't last. There are better bubbling products out there.

Pheromones: ?
As a scientist, I've come to the conclusion that the pheromone aspect of the toy will differ depending on the user. Most of the ingredients that claim to be pheromones have not been completely verified (most of it has been passed as a pheromone through word of mouth and belief, no science). There's also a very possible placebo affect for many. Using it might make you think you're sexier or more attractive, which in turn can make you appear more attractive.

Still, it's a great product.

All bath products and lubes come in a clear plastic bag to prevent spillage and prevent other items in the order box from becoming damaged. After that, the shower creme comes in an 8 ounce bottle that has an easily dispensable cap. The shower creme is pretty discreet. It does have the words "sensual" and "pheromones," but it's obvious this product isn't a bottle of lube or anything more ostentatious.



If traveling, it's best to put the shower cream in a plastic ziplock bag. The bottle hasn't had any spills (I left it on it's side for 30 minutes and tested for leaks. There were none) but it's always best to protect against spills.

I'll be honest, I only purchased this shower gel so I could qualify for an Eden promotion (ever do that? Don't make me feel like the only guilty one!) So I was looking more for a price-point, but I still wanted to enjoy what I bought. I'm very happy with sensual shower creme. It smells lovely but not overpowering, and washes well. There are other, more expensive products you could choose from, but I think this is one of the best body washes on Eden.

Also, my partner likes to use this one as well. He generally doesn't touch my bath products because they are "too girly" for him. While this scent isn't particularly masculine, it mixes well with the other products he uses and leaves a nice, soft smell on his skin. There's nothing like when you partner (especially if he's a male who tends to roll around in dirt and not care) smells shower fresh!
