(Ginger/Pomegranate) Pleasing to Your Body and Senses - Part Two

While I wish the scent lasted longer, I must say I like the ability to use this and know that it will fade enough to not interfere with other fragrances I enjoy wearing. I love how the ginger cuts the fruity smell of the pomegranate so it isn't overly sweet. I love the way this makes my body feel when I've used it.

My husband and I both enjoy my use of this product so it's definitely a keeper for me.

Use

According to Your Dictionary.com, the term sensual is an adjective. The definition states Sensual describes something that is pleasing to your body and your senses. The example that they use is "An example of sensual is a soft fabric that is enjoyable to touch".

This is a creme that is designed to be used in the bath or shower. It is designed for all skin types, even those who have sensitive skin. The label states that you can pour it into running bath water or use it on a bath puff and lather it over your body. It does not state how much to use if you're using it in the tub, I prefer to use a pea size amount on the puff in the shower.

The label states that this is designed to "gently purify, invigorate and revive tired skin". It has vitamins A, C & E in it along with Aloe Vera. It also has lavender extract to soothe and apple fruit extract to exfoliate.

The ingredients are: Water (Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocomide MEA, Acrylates Copolymer, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Benzophenone-4, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Diglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Extract, Glycol Stearate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, PEG-12, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Reconstituted Androne, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance (Parfum), Red 33 (CI17200).

This product is paraben-free and has not been tested on animals. It is made the U.S.

As always with bath and body products, I recommend doing a patch test if you suspect you might have a reaction to this.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The best way to explain the consistency is to show it to you. So here are some photos.

First putting it on my hand:

After holding my hand sideways for 30 seconds or so:

Trying to show you how it "shimmers" a bit from the oils in it (I think):

It feels soft and creamy and I would say it is about a medium thickness. It does run some but not much. It feels a tiny bit oily, but not much and once you dry off from the shower, the oil rubs into your skin and is absorbed immediately.

Taste / Aroma

While you are using this in the shower, the scent seems very strong and it fills the room. In fact, when I opened the door to the bedroom after taking a shower in our master bath, I asked my husband if he could smell what I had been using and he was like, 'Oh yeah'. I asked him if it was bad and he said that it smelled nice and that while he couldn't identify the smell, it was a soft scent that was very pleasing and comforting in a way.

Performance

Needless to say, since this was a bath and shower creme, I had to wash it off with water. I kept feeling like I wasn't getting enough of it off and so I kept rinsing it and rinsing it. It was about the time that I was getting frustrated that I realized that it had rinsed off but because of either the shower creme or the body scrub, I was feeling oily and that was why I was thinking it hadn't washed off.

Once I got out of the shower and used my towel, the oil absorbed into my skin and my skin felt soft and silky smooth. It stayed that way for several hours and while I did use the body lotion after I dried off, I am not sure I needed to. I simply wanted to use it to help the scent linger.

My only frustration with this product line is that the scent does not linger. I do plan on buying the body oil and I believe the oil base will help the fragrance to last longer.

With that said, you could use this in the morning and wait about 15 minutes and apply any of your favorite perfumes and this would not interfere with them at all. That is definitely a plus for women who don't care to wear fruity fragrances all day long.

Packaging

This product is in an opaque bottle with a flip-top cap that you can open with one hand. Below, you can see a picture of both the bath & shower creme and the body lotion bottles next to a 20 ounce bottle of water. The body lotion is on the left and the bath & shower creme is on the right.

The bottle holds 8 ounces of the creme.

Special Features

The product lists that it has pheromones in it. I went to the product's website to read more about pheromones and decided to simply share their link titled "Why Phereomones?". If you are interested in learning more about this, their page is the best page to start reading.

Personal comments

I wanted to try and give you a better description of the fragrance so I did a search for perfumes that have both ginger and pomegranate in them. Three scents came up in my search and they are:

Aziyade by Parfum d'Empire which is made in France. This is/was a unisex perfume.
Flirt by Prescriptives for women.
Free Flowing Man by Puma which was made for men.

Experience

Let me close this review by stating how much I love this product. I currently have three products in this line the body scrub, the bath and shower creme and the body lotion. The first two items going into my cart for my purchase this coming week are both the body oil and the body butter. Shock of all shocks, I'd even be willing to pay full price for them, even though I won't have to since Eden currently has a sale going on.
