Liquid Latex Kit - Made of awesome!

What a great way to introduce yourself or your partner to latex. I wanted to get this to use with a Halloween costume (ended up not working out that way) but I did get to play with it quite a bit beforehand. I was able to do a few large swatches on my arms to both test for a sensitivity and to see how it dried and what not.

I would say it takes about 10 minuters for it to set to a point where I was comfortable to move around and be confident that it wasn't going to stick to itself and tear. It goes on rather thin so multiple layers is encouraged. I would call the color, while it's wet, a charcoal color and a more intense black when it has set and dried. The kit also comes along with a bottle of shine, a bottle of wash, and a jar of shimmer dust. I didn't really use the wash at all so I can't comment on it, but the shine worked well and the shimmer dust is very messy but really pretty when applied to either the latex or just your skin. Also included in the kit, is a mask (for the fumes) 2 sponge brushes, and a sheet of instructions.

The Sponge brushes work really well for large area coverage but not great for detail work. They really aren't able to be cleaned out though, which means once used, they are pretty much done for. Luckily you can pick sponge brushes up really cheap at the hard ware store or dollar store.

A note on the shimmer dust. It is really, really messy. It will get EVERYWHERE if you aren't careful. Mine was labeled 'gold' but I wouldn't really call it gold colored. It really was very pretty against the black of the liquid latex. I have also used it just as shimmer dust directly on my skin.

This is a great kit that is lasting me FOREVER! I have used the latex a few times over the last few months and the luster dust that came in the kit is very useful! I put some of the dust in a separate container and threw it in my make up bag. This is an all-around great product.
