Condom cube - storage container discontinued by DevineToys / AfterCare - review by Sammi

Of all the items you wouldn’t expect to see me review, a condom storage box is probably high among them. This pretty box from Devine Toys, however, can be used for so much more than stashing condoms away.

The Condom Cube is 2 3/4" wide, long, and high, so it’s small enough to tuck just about anywhere. The main part of the box is made of black small-grained faux leather covering what I imagine to be a cardboard frame. On the right side the name Devine Toys and their company symbol is stamped into the leather, but it’s not terribly obvious and doesn’t give any indications as to what might be hidden inside.

The back side, top, and front flap of the box are faux leather on the inside and covered with satin and lace on the top side with a light padding underneath. The black lace has a large rose pattern all over, and the satin underneath is a deep red. It’s fairly elegant looking and won’t look out of place on the nightstand, no matter what your décor.

The Cube won’t get very dirty, but if you do need to clean it the inside and outside can be wiped with a damp cloth and wiped and patted dry with a soft towel. The lace and satin areas will be more difficult to clean, and a damp cloth will work best. You can also carefully use a spot cleaner like a Tide Stick and dab at any stains. If you do have any substances on your fingers, like lube, you will want to try and wipe them off before touching the cube on the lace areas to eliminate any unwanted staining.

The front flap magnetically attaches to the front of the box by a fairly strong magnet. It keeps the lid securely closed, and the lid isn’t prone to popping open even if the Cube is turned upside down or shaken. Even so, it’s very easy to open with just a thumb or finger for quick access. Inside you have a 2 1/4" cubed space for storage.

So what will this hold? Fingernail clippers, small earrings, buttons and safety pins, ticket stubs, SD video cards, AAA and AA batteries, even condoms – as long as the item is about 2” or shorter, it should fit comfortably inside. I like to use it as somewhat of a catchall for those small items in my bedroom that I don’t really have a place to put.

This is a wonderful box to keep by the bedside, and it’s a great way to keep what you need close at hand or hide away those little items that tend to clutter up your table tops.
