Use

The Ramp & Wedge Conversion kit includes everything necessary to turn your ramp and wedge into fun bondage equipment. Please note it does not include the ramp or wedge. Those must be purchased separately. If you already own the two pieces, this kit can take you to a new level of fun. I am just going to concentrate on what's in the conversion set. If you are wondering about the actual furniture, I have reviews here and here.

Included in the kit
1 Black Ramp cover with 6 buckle restraints
1 Black Wedge cover with 2 buckle restraints
2 Wrists Restraints (Leopard print)
2 Ankle Restraints (Leopard print)
4 Connector/Extensions
2 Tethers
1 Blindfold (Leopard print)

The ramp and wedge are aids for sex positions. Adding in the restraints, you greatly increase all the fun possibilities. It's best for light bondage. The material of the covers is soft, sensuous, and inviting. The ramp and wedge allow for lots of different positions. Your captor can restrain you and do all sorts of unspeakable things to you. Again it's for light bondage. If that sounds like fun, this might be the kit for you.

The entire set is big and bulky. But, the wedge on its own with some cuffs is small enough to travel with. It could be placed in a large duffle bag and be discreet enough for the walk through the hotel lobby.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material

All parts of the kit are designed well and should hold up to repeated uses. I'll talk about each individual piece.

Ramp Cover- Made from plush microfiber with 6 buckles, the ramp cover fits snugly on your ramp. All of the Liberator covers with the built in restraint system are black. There are no color options if you want to use them for bondage. The lower end of the ramp has 2 buckles, one on each side. The upper end has 4 buckles. They are placed two on on each side and are parallel to each other. Having two on a side ensures comfortable positioning. The ramp can be flipped on either side and has a slightly different slope on each side. The two buckles lets you restrain at either the top or bottom no matter which way the ramp is placed. The buckles are sewn right on the microfiber. The stitches are neat and secure. The buckles themselves are plastic.

Wedge Cover- Like the ramp it is black and has a nice zipper. There are two buckles on this cover- one on each side. The plastic buckles are also sewn securely and neatly into the microfiber.

Wrist Restraints- The restraints are made out of the same microfiber as the covers except they are a fabulous leopard print instead of all black. They are soft and comfortable. They attach to the wrists with a velcro strip that is sewn down the center of the cuff. The velcro makes them adjustable and they should fit a wide variety of sizes. Also sewn on is the clasp to the buckle. They are very easy to use. Just put them on and buckle into the ramp or wedge. Laid flat they are about 11 inches long and 3 inches wide.

Ankle Restraints- They are very identical to the wrist restraints except they are three inches longer.

Connectors- There are four connectors that are just shy of six inches each. Two of them are cuff connectors. You can use them to make handcuffs or anklecuffs without buckling them into the ramp or wedge. The other two are extenders. Using them gives a larger range of motion for the one tied down. The buckle portions are plastic. The fabric is sewn fairly neatly. One of them had loose thread that was easily snipped.

Tethers- The two tethers are approximately 42 inches long. They are adjustable and allow for some flexibility in how to restrain.

Blindfold- The blindfold is made from the same leopard print microfiber as the wrist & ankles cuffs. It has an adjustable velcro strap on the back. It is very comfortable. It works well. I can't see anything at all with it on. It doesn't slip off unless I start struggling too much.

Performance

These work best for mild to moderate bondage. They are designed to add bondage while still keeping it lighthearted and fun. You may not like these if you enjoy more extreme forms of bondage. We just play with light bondage so it's perfect for our purposes. It works wonderful for teasing during foreplay. Being bound and blindfolded heightens the senses and makes the whole session much more delicious. Most positions we have tried for intercourse have been great. The only one that didn't work so well was missionary with my hips on the ramp. I kept sliding down, and with my wrists and ankles bound, I couldn't get enough leverage to pull myself back up. I didn't have the same problem using the wedge for missionary. We have tried a handful of positions and have been successful with all except missionary on the ramp.

The restraint system is based on buckle clasps and velcro cuffs. They are comfortable, and it is possible to "escape" from them. That's good news to me because we like to play with very low risk. However, the cuffs are secure enough that I never slip out when I don't want to. The restraints don't bind tightly to the furniture. Hooked up, there is a small range of motion. When using the wedge as a headrest, I have enough leeway to adjust my headband if necessary. Some people wouldn't like that amount of freedom. Also, the wedge is lightweight enough that if I wanted I could pull it out and perhaps use it as a weapon against my husband. It think the ramp is sturdy and heavy enough so that it would stay put, but the wedge is easier to move. This isn't a system that will leave you totally immobile and at the mercy of your partner. If that's a deal breaker for you, keep looking for something else.

We have a D-ring adapter purchased directly from Liberator that makes the set more versatile. The D-rings allow us to use any type of cuffs or rope with the furniture. Eden doesn't sell them, but if you have any black label Lib furniture, it's worthwhile to get the adapter. Without the D-rings you really can only use the Liberator cuffs. We enjoy using silk sashes as well as the liberator restraints.

Packaging

The entire kit arrived in a large plastic bag. The two covers were folded neatly at the bottom of the bag. The restraints, extenders, tethers, and blindfold were in a heavy duty ziplock bag. The ziplock bag is perfect for storing all the pieces. For now, we are leaving these covers on our ramp and wedge. The original covers have been folded up and are in a drawer. The covers don't take up a whole lot of space.

Care and Maintenance

The covers are very easy to wash. You unzip them and throw them in the washer and dryer. It's very simple and convenient. I haven't washed these 2 covers yet, but I have washed another black label cover with the buckles and it's always fine. I don't wash them after every use. I'm not that fond of laundry. In between washes I wipe them down with wet wipes. That's good enough to get rid of any stains.

The microfiber does attract lint. We have a white blanket that sheds terribly, and consequently our black pieces always have lots of white fuzzies. The blanket is too warm for us to even think about getting rid of. We are the only ones who use or even see our sex furniture so we don't worry about it. We can use a lint roller to eliminate the lint if we want.

Personal comments

The big question is, "Are these worth it?" And I just don't know. They are very pricey and of course, the initial purchase of the ramp and wedge wasn't cheap either. I purchased them with a hefty discount, so I'm happy with my out of pocket expense. I don't think I would have paid retail price for them. We are having fun with them. However, I think it would be more cost effective to buy a different system. An Under the Bed Restraint System would be cheaper and could still work with the ramp and wedge.
Follow-up commentary
I like this, but we don't drag out the cuffs very often. It's much quicker to use our Under the Bed Restraint System. Still, when we get it out, it's a lot of fun. All the pieces are well made, and I expect it will last a long time.

I think these are way too expensive for what you get. Plus you have to spend over $200 just for the ramp wedge combo.

Thanks for the detailed review. I didn't even know they had this kit to go with the pieces you already had. I learned something new today. I think I'd probably get an under the bed restraint system because that's a hefty price.

    Unfilled & Spunkymonkey-

They are pricey. I debated a long time about whether to make the plunge or not. But I love liberator and wanted to check them out. I do think an under the bed restraint system would be just as fun and a lot less expensive. That said I am happy with my purchase.

    Thanks for reading everyone.
