Butter is better with heat

Though better for masturbation than olive oil, it took a lot to stay slick and comfortable. At least it didn't make a big mess. While this lube does the job, it missed in the taste department and will never be our favorite.

Pros
Smells nice. No huge mess. Slick coating if enough used. Lasts a reasonable amount of time.
Cons
Lumps...Taste not exactly pleasant. Expensive for small volume compared to amount required.

I have tasted it, and I wouldn't buy it for the taste, but then, I'm not the one who has to taste it, unless we kiss after she swallows me whole. We got the lemon flavor because she loves lemon, and I want to be accommodating!

We are currently separated by 1300 miles, but we won't be apart forever, and she is anxious to taste it on me. We figured it would be best to try something with Shea butter, because we've heard good things about it.

I'm currently in Canada, and the weather is pretty cold up here. I'm wondering if that has something to do with why it has small lumps in it, since it was probably sitting in a delivery truck in a blizzard. They are almost like little clumps of congealed butter. I don't know if that's normal, especially since it has been indoors for over a week now and it's still a bit lumpy at room temperature. The lumps do melt with heat from the friction of masturbation, but they don't melt from the heat of my hand right away. Because of that, every solo session so far has started out with stroking to rub out the lumps. I've since learned it works better if I let it 'melt' in my hands from the heat first. That takes care of the lump problem.

I had been using hand lotion, and even conditioner, occasionally, until recently, when we went for a particularly long session over the phone (we have unlimited long distance) and I went four hours without orgasm, with only (hair) conditioner as a lube. We had never bought anything except a few minor toys for her, simple vibrators, etc. After that session, my foreskin became so raw that I could barely pull it back for three days. That was when we decided it was time to try something specifically designed for masturbation, and since she had ordered goodies from Eden's in the past, we found ourselves surfing and shopping.

I tried Olive Oil over the next week, after I healed from the conditioner, before this product arrived, and it worked ok, but it made such a mess, I'm glad we went with this as a choice. Unfortunately, I was already a bit raw when I started using this stuff, and since it is my first time using it, I have no idea how much is enough, or isn't enough, so I can't currently give a completely fair review, because it did seem to lube fairly well, though I had to re-apply it several times during a session. I can hold out for an hour or more while enjoying her orgasms over the phone. Maybe there is no lube out there that will last that long, though I'm waiting for a Maximus delivery that is supposed to arrive today with a Raven Riley fleshlight with the Lotus insert. Those should work very well together from what we've read.

Perhaps this doesn't work as well for me because I have foreskin, and any lube tends to get pushed up and away by the foreskin, at least to some extent. It is difficult to be completely fair, until I am healed, and until I get Maximus here to compare. Then I'll know if the amounts of the Men's Pleasure Cream I have been using have been enough or if I should be putting on more. If I need more, however, that would make me think that the cost is a bit high for the volume, as I have been using a fair bit dabbed on my fingertips to get started, and have had to re-apply several times per session.

Maybe adding water would help a bit during a session, though I tried a bit of saliva once and it didn't help.

It was definitely much better than using hand lotion or conditioner or even olive oil. It didn't make a huge mess like the olive oil, and it did lube much better than the other products I mentioned, but the jury is still out on this one.

I didn't want to rate it yet because I want to be fair to the cream, and to make sure that it is my own limitations and not the cream that caused my skin irritation. I should note that I haven't been irritated anywhere except on the foreskin, so it isn't an allergic reaction. My head is fine, but friction on the foreskin burns right now, so I'm going to give him a rest before we give it another go!

When we are fully healed, I will give it a few more tries and follow up with a post based on experience.
Experience
I recommend washing it off afterward, though you can leave it on and sleep through the night without causing any harm. I tested it just to see what would happen. I found that leaving it on overnight caused it to dehydrate the skin on my head and my foreskin. That dehydration makes the next day's session less pleasurable. Washing is simple enough, soap and water takes care of the majority of the oily feel.

The ingredients are fairly simple and friendly: distilled water, sunflower oil, beeswax, Shea butter, vitamin e, grapefruit seed extract and pure organic essential oil of lemon. Nothing supernatural there!

It is obviously synthetic-free and paraben-free, but it isn't latex friendly, so I would only recommend it for oral or hand manipulations, or other body parts, as long as you aren't using a condom.
Follow-up commentary
As mentioned earlier, I want to be fair, and after a session with Maximus and the Raven Riley Fleshlight, which arrived last night (reviews coming up later), I have come to the conclusion that my foreskin played *the* major role in how much cream I had to use. I will write another follow-up on this cream once I am completely healed, but I wanted to write this note so people don't necessarily discount this product (yet) because of my review. If you don't have foreskin, you probably don't have the same problems as someone who does. I will be reviewing the Fleshlight and explaining what I mean in detail, but perhaps you already have an idea where I'm going with this.

Honestly, we are discussing surgery to have it removed. No joke. Though a ring at the base may solve the problem... More on this later, and in the other reviews.

    Welcome to the community!

I have a theory about the dryness / burning - even though the cream is thick and seems moisturizing, it does have lemon oil in it - which is citric, and citrus is an acid, so it may be too drying for that area of your skin.

Maximus is a great lube and I use it almost daily. It's viscosity is nice, and it is both toy and body friendly. But from the sensation preferences you expressed, you may also really enjoy trying a sleek and slippery silicone lube for masturbation. It's great for long sessions. My husband and I splurged on the Pjur Eros Bodyglide and oh man is that stuff awesome for handjobs and masturbation! It's thin but lasts forever and is so silky.

Hope that's helpful! Keep up the good reviewing!

    Welcome!

My boyfriend's solo jack-off lube of choice is a generic Cocoa Butter (with Shea Butter) lotion he gets from a local supermarket. It's lotion, so it doesn't dry him out, and he's used it for years without complaint. I've been wondering about getting him the men's pleasure cream, but after reading your review, I wonder if sticking to lotion isn't the best (and most economic) thing to do!

    Nice review!

Thank you for the welcome and the encouragement! We knew there was another world out there to experience, but spending a lot of time here at edenfantasys, reading reviews and shopping, has taught us a lot more than we thought possible.

I still believe that the initial drying problem was caused by the conditioner, as it was only on upper part of the foreskin. I suppose the citric acid could be an irritant, but I can't say that was the major cause, until I've given him a rest. The skin was already quite swollen and raw/dry before trying the cream, from using hair conditioner. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it!), our love life is so very active that we sometimes don't take enough of a break when we should, for the healing process, I mean.

We'll be posting another review on the RR Fleshlight and Maximus lube in the near future, as well as a few others, and we've reached a conclusion on the foreskin issue that may explain why so much more lube was required than we expected, and also possibly why the problems mentioned above persist.

Essentially, we're saying that the foreskin itself may be the major culprit, rather than this cream! More reviews to come... Winking

Thanks V! Since you've mentioned it, we're thinking about getting the Pjur Eros Bodyglide for me, at least, since we think Maximus will be perfect for her. She is, after all, somewhat self lubricating! Must be nice! Tongue out

It's funny but a few weeks ago, neither of us had ever tried any products specifically intended for this use, and now we have a jar of the cream, two bottles of Maximus, and are talking about getting the Silicone for me!

I guess that means we've found a lot of useful information here, and for that, we are both very grateful!
