Supposedly, Gun Oil is supposed to be an ideal lube for jerking off. I think not...
It dried up really fast and became sticky. Adding more lube didn't help much. It still got the job done, but it did so like a bad waiter who didn't deserve a tip.
However, I think it's good for anal play. It seemed to be slicker and last for longer that way, not sure why. Perhaps, decreased exposure to oxygen maybe?
I wouldn't suggest using this on a bed, and I would suggest removing all your clothes before use. The first time I used it, I happened to be wearing a white shirt and didn't bother to take it off... It left a nasty yellow stain that wouldn't come out no matter what I tried. That shirt ended up in the trash, sadly.

I had heard really great things about silicone lube, about how it was silky and seemed to last forever. So I couldn't help but wonder after using Gun Oil... Was it all a lie? Is Gun Oil even silicone lube? Well, apparently it is.
The most notable issue is that right out of the bottle, it's thick and sticky. And it dries within a few minutes of use. The way it feels when it's dried reminds me of the glue that's on the back of credit cards that you get in the mail. You can take a bit of it and roll it around between your fingers into a little ball. It was good for anal play though, it didn't dry up through my session and felt slicker than when used for jerking off.

Gun oil has a really strange smell. To me it smelled like rubber cement, but extremely toned down. During use, I found the smell to be a major distraction and turn off. Given how terrible the smell is, I wasn't about to put this in my mouth.

When used for jerking off, Gun Oil doesn't last long at all. It dries up very quickly and leaves a sticky "shell" of lube over your dick, so adding more lube doesn't help. All that does is add to the disgusting shell that you have to vigorously scrub to remove. When used for anal, it stays slick through the entire use and I didn't feel the need for re-application. Even after I was finished, it still felt slick, but considering how hard it was to clean off of my dick when it dried, I cleaned it out the best I could immediately after use.

If you can buy any other lube, and I mean ANY, do so.
