Garden of edo organic collection - massage kit discontinued by Shunga Erotic Art - review by anpcool

Okay, so I'm not very good at making clever titles, and frankly I'm not very good at writing reviews either, but what the heck, give it a try anyway! So here we have the Garden of Edo by Shunga. I received this as a gift for my birthday a few years ago and I have to say my boyfriend and I really do enjoy this. Within this "kit," you have a selection of 5 different items: massage oil, lubricant, aphrodisiac oil, sensitizing gel, and bath salts.

Starting with the massage oil: YUM! It smells delicious and feels amazing on skin. The smell is similar to green tea/pear. One great thing is the oil does not leave any type of stain on your bed sheets (none that we've experienced at least). The only con I can think of is that I felt as though we needed to use more than enough just to feel "slippery." Another helpful hint to make things a bit more interesting would be to take the cap off and pop the bottle (yes it's microwave safe!) into well, the microwave! But only for a few seconds, or it is way too hot and uncomfortable.

Aphrodisiac Oil: Now, if you take this oil and rub it on your inner wrist you will feel warmth. You can also put it on your lips as a nice "lip gloss" which also feels warm and tastes delicious. I think it kind of tastes like an apple flavor. I guess this is supposed to be like a warming oil, I didn't really feel the warmth and neither did my boyfriend. However, this did make me feel a little more naturally lubricated, down there, than normal, so that was a plus. A tip I have for this would be to purchase a caramel-flavored, edible body paint-type thing and put the two together and it tastes like caramel apples. Yum.

Lubricant: This stuff does wonders. It has a light smell and tastes pretty sweet, and lasts a long time (definitely can use the saying "a little bit goes a long way.") It's also not as sticky as most lubes, so it provides an easier clean up. This lubricant is a high-quality water-based lubricant. BUT honestly, it feels very similar to a silicone lubricant! This is also a great lubricant for anal sex. Normally water-based lubricants are not for anal, as they absorb way too quickly, but I can't say we've had any problems using this when performing any anal play.

Sensitizing gel: I don't really have much to say about this one, unfortunately, since we barely use it. It smells a bit like strawberry but it doesn't taste that way. It actually doesn't really taste that good at all, but I don't think it's supposed to anyway. This product is intended to intensify sensitivity. By putting this product on the head of the penis (to stimulate the g-spot) or on the clitoris. I'm honestly very sorry I don't have too much to say about this one. It's pretty sticky, I guess that could be a con.

Finally, bath salts: YUM YUM YUM! Oh, the smell of this is simply amazing! I honestly, don't even know how to describe the smell. Inside the container is a sea shell used for scooping; how cute is that! I usually scoop about 1-2 shells worth into the tub (preferably warm/hot water gives the best aroma). There's also multiple uses for this product aside from bathing. By taking some of the oil and mixing it with some of the sea salt, you can make yourself a natural face/body scrub to remove dead skin, leaving you to have nice, soft, "baby's butt" skin. (The sea salt can also be used in the shower, if you do not have a tub.) Keep in mind the water will turn green if using this while bathing, but don't worry, your tub will be okay (and your skin too).

All five items fit perfectly in a cylinder tube, although putting them back in the same way I found to be a bit difficult, so we just put the individual items in a box along with other fun things. I use the tin to store other miscellaneous items like jewelry.

So overall I think it's safe to say this product is pretty amazing. I forgot to mention that everything included is 100% organic. And that means it's safe to use not only externally but internally as well! Depending on the amount of usage per item, this kit really does last quite a long time.
