Mood lube 5 pack - lubricant discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by XxXxX

I work in the adult industry as a cam girl and a good lube is the key to it all. When I started I wasn’t quite sure what kind of lube would work best for me so I purchase a bunch of small sample packs from different companies and they all were basically the same.

When I found this one and purchased it I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were all VERY different. They gave me the chance to test all of them and see which ones I prefer to use and which to avoid. But I was amused to find that they were all to my liking. So I continue to just get this pack instead of picking one and buying that type consistently. Here is my run down of each one.

TINGLING: Ok so this one is definitely my top favorite, the tingling is great when it is just me or me and a partner. Either way it gives you a great tingling sensation whereas a lot of other lubes that claim to tingle only last for a couple of minutes. This one is good from start to finish. And in my case, over and over again. I also like the fact that it is water based which is better for you.

SENSITIVE : Also water based and is my second favorite. It does make it a more sensitive area and I find this works well for me when I am with a partner. I think it helps make up what is lacking and makes me slightly easier to please. It heightens the awareness in a sense that you can feel it a lot better, but it doesn’t do as other “sensitive lubes " claim. It doesn’t make you feel something that is not there. It just heightens your awareness to it.

WATER BASED : I do use this quite often to just keep it lubed. It is just a basic water based lube that helps everything glide so much easier. It doesn’t take much and you don’t have to keep reusing it from start to finish. You simply lube up and go about your business. This one, as well as the other water based lubes are easy to clean up after and basically wipe right off.

WARMING : This is not water based, its actually contains glycerin which is not something I am totally happy with. But the warming effect is nice and I use this with a partner for extra enjoyment. Warming is simple, it just warms with the friction and that in itself makes all the feelings better.

SILICONE : This is not water based as well and I very rarely use it. It has Dimethicone in it, says the bottle. But it works for the basic lube job. When I run out I will use it but it is never my 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice. I suppose for someone that prefers oil based, it would be just fine. Like I said, it gets the job done. Not as easy to clean as the water based but still possible. This should NOT be used with silicone toys.

So all in all, I am head over heels for the water based ones, the other 2, Warming and Silicone, they work just fine but would not be my go to if I had anything else around. Also, a HUGE plus of the water based is it doesn’t stain my sheets. The other 2 leave oily stains on them and that discolors them slightly.

The water based ones are just a tad thicker than baby oil and the oil based ones are a little thicker. They all provide a very silky smooth feel while using and are very easy to apply (might drip a little so be careful not to stain your sheets with the oil based ones.) The feel is silky, I wouldn't say greasy, after you clean up is still leaves you feeling soft, rather than sticky like other products.

The smell wasn’t bad at all. I never tried to taste it. The smell was not overwhelming or even strong at all.

Using it several times a night and about 5 nights per week as a cam girl, I usually have to restock monthly, give or take a week. The water based lubes wipe right off and the other two wipe off fairly well but a shower in the near future is needed. I loved the fact that I could make one small purchase and have options when I use them. I love that they work very well and do not need to be consistently reapplied. And I love the silky smooth feel while using them.

The packaging is good and if you open it carefully you can continue to use it to store the lubes in. If you are going to just have it sitting on a shelf in your room or travel with them I would suggest a more concealing packaging.

It is an assortment of lubes that you can try to find which best suits you, whether it is one... or all!
