It's good
ID glide is a decent, middle of the road, dependable lube. It's going to do the job sufficiently every time for an affordable price. It works with any toy as well as anal or vaginal intercourse with a partner. A terrific staple in any toy bag.

Pros
Affordable, flip-top or pump dispenser, readily available, great for toys.
Cons
Glycerin.
There is something to be said for middle of the road. For average. For good.
A lot of times we expect things to be great and are disappointed. We find them bad. And sometimes we even forget that just because something isn't great doesn't mean it's bad.
That's how I feel about ID glide.
At first I thought to myself... Not as good as silicone. Not as good as Liquid Silk. Ick. I don't like this stuff. And it got tossed to the bottom of a drawer and forgotten.
And then, as I got more silicone toys and started HAVING to use water based lube...
I realized this stuff is good. It's not excellent. It's not bad. It's average. Good. Decent.
It's slick without being super gloppy. Neither too thick nor too thin. It doesn't smell bad or taste bad. It lasts an average amount of time. It can be reactivated with a little spit or water or by adding more. It'll never be my favorite for sex with a partner but it certainly does the job with toys.
It works well with any toy; silicone, rubber, latex, wood, glass, TPR, TPE, Cyberskin, Plastic - you name it, this is okay with it. And it works well for sex, too; anal, vaginal, it doesn't even taste all that bad if you switch to oral midway through.
It's economical. It's readily available just about anywhere lube is sold. It's got a flip-top cap (or even a pump in the larger sizes!). It cleans up easily.
It's got glycerin in it but so do most water based lubes.
I've been won over; not only by the lube itself but by logic. Average, dependable, and good are GOOD. Good is good. Expectations and comparisons often leave us thinking something is bad just because it's not AS good.
ID glide isn't the best. But it's good. [Editor's note: the reviewer is trying to convey that this product is good.]

Experience
This lube held up to use on a Sybian machine with no drying out, no excess friction. I can't really say more than that.
Follow-up commentary

I just reviewed Gun Oil H20, which forced me to come back to this review and reiterate that "good" is good. An average, dependable, and decent lube; while not something we may jump for joy over. It can be invaluable amidst the sea of lesser, crappy lubes.
For the price, dependability, and overall availability; ID glide is a fine lube that I appreciate more and more.

And thanks, Machina. No aspartame in my bottle nor in the EF ingredient list!
Good review!
Loved the review, especially the reminder that just because something isn't out of this world, doesn't mean it sucks. And the editor does seem to have a penchant for sarcasm.
She makes me laugh on a regular basis.
Went to ID this am, yeah, it is good.
You summed it up very well. Mediocre in the proper, non-debased sense - that true, useful ground between supreme excellence and abject failure.
