JUICY BUT RISKY

Sounded good at the time- but after reading the ingredients I was put off. Are fruity tasting genitals worth ingesting toxic chemicals? Or having yeast infections? In my opinion, no. Another thing I will add to the trash bin. Thought I'd give you a heads up!

Juicy Lube, a product of ID lube, is a great way to flavor up your oral sex sessions. It is also somewhat useful for finger/foreplay, but continual adding of lube is necessary. I have the cherry flavored as that is my favorite flavor for anything. It tastes pretty good, but not as good as say, a cherry sucker. (no pun intended!)

It comes in a plastic bottle just like the one pictured above except it is red instead of yellow. My bottle is 3.8 oz and features a nice wide push button dispenser which I wish all lubes had. It is very convenient and dispenses the lube in a non-messy and non-wasteful manner.

The lube has a bit of an aftertaste if you are not used to ingesting artificial sweeteners. I also noticed a bit of numbness in my mouth, which wasn't too bad and kind of helped me out, if you know what I mean. It only has a slight fruity smell to it that is pleasant, not at all over-whelming and dissipates quickly. Juicy Lube has a slick feel to it but is not very useful in actually lubing up yourself, partner or toys. The lube diminishes very quickly, so it is best to use this product strictly as an aid for oral sex, if you dare!

Juicy lube is a water based lubricating gel. It is water soluble and non-staining, which is a good thing to know in case things get over juicy and it gets on your bedding or other cloth materials. In any case, the lube is clear, so no worries.

These are the ingredients: (as written on the bottle)
Purified water, Glycerin, Propylene glycol, Cellulose Polymer, Polyethylene Oxide, Carbomer 981, Polysorbate 20, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Saccharin, Aspartame, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Potassium Sorbate, EDTA, Flavor, Aroma

YUCK!

Consumer awareness is vastly realizing the dangers of artificial sweeteners, (saccharin, aspartame) even if the FDA does not admit to it as yet. They are being linked to neurological disorders, brain tumors and much more. Glycerin is a known irritant, and since it is a carbohydrate, it poses the problem of yeast in the vagina. My research on EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid) found that oral exposures have been noted to cause reproductive and developmental effects. The other unpronounceable ingredients in this product I do not know about, but I haven't much faith that they are safe.

This product was researched and distributed by Westridge Laboratories, Inc. Newport Beach, CA 92663, who obviously does not think much of people who enjoy oral sex. Juicy Lube is made in the good ol' USA
Follow-up commentary
I threw this in the trash bin right after I reviewed it. I can't tolerate aspartame. Plus, it does not taste too good either. I'm sure there's a safe fruity lube somewhere.

Yes, it is being stated by scientists that in the next few years there will be more baby boomers and other older folks running around, with the help of artificial sweeteners, who will not even know who they are much less where their genitals are. It's a fact...

Thanks for uncovering the risks of these chemicals! I had absolutely no idea about the risks

Nice review, always good to include ingredients when there are some listed that others may be sensitive to. While I, myself, have no reaction to Glycerin products I am always sure to include it in my reviews as well should the product contain it, because so many women are. Also, good note on the Aspartame. Although, I think that at some point down the road everything we use will show to have done some sort of damage to us (just look at the discoveries they've found on cell phones!!!) there are quite a few people who don't like the aftertaste and there are sensitivities to it as well!!! But for someone who is diabetic, this product may be more beneficial. Then, you have your parabens which can cause serious reactions to those sensitive to it as well. So good job on including that

Thanks for the great comments! You are quite right Peggi, there are so many things that are dangerous to our health that we use everyday. Sad about all the toxins in the world.
