Use

Moist silicone lubricant was named best lubricant by Women's Health Magazine. I can see why. Its long lasting, colorless, clear, odorless, taste free and non-staining. It is also latex and condom compatible.

It is suitable for any situation where silicone toys are not involved - in a bed, the shower, the bath, with toys or with a partner.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Moist is somewhat thicker than Pink lubricant, the only other silicone lubricant I have to use for comparison, but much thinner than any water based lube I've tried. While still thin, it is thick enough to give you a few seconds of time spread it before you're at risk of it dripping off.

It feels smooth and slippery when rubbed onto skin. It forms a thin but still very slippery layer when in use.

Its simple to pour the exact amount that you desire from Moist's easy to hold container. It does not leak out of the bottle when left on its side or even when the container is held upside down.

Taste / Aroma

Moist silicone has no taste or scent at all. I was surprised by this. I even put a few drops on my hand and held it under my cat's nose. He didn't respond. So a nose far more sensitive than mine agrees that it has no scent.

Performance

I tested Moist with a variety of products. It lasted as long as I did in every case, including a prolonged session with Handcrafted wooden dildo #197. It did not require re-application, even during that long session.

I pitted it against the popular lubricant, Pink, by applying an equal amount on each leg and rubbing with my hands. Both legs felt the same. Neither became sticky. Both legs felt slippery for quite a while. Eventually the lubricants absorbed into the skin. They lasted about the same length of time. Each leg felt soft, smooth and moisturized afterward.

Moist is a non-staining lubricant. It doesn't appear to have left a mark on the sheets or towels its touched.

After using it you may have the thinnest layer of lubricant left on your body or hands. If you don't like the sensation, Moist can be easily washed off with soap and water.

Packaging

Silicone Moist did not arrive with significant packaging - just a small fold-over card stating that it was a friction free personal lubricant. Inside the card it suggests that you use it liberally where lubrication is needed or to enhance sexual pleasure.

Tuesday's pet peeve:
On the back of the card, the ingredients are listed along with the statement "Sold As A Novelty Only." Really, Pipedream? You're supposed to just look at it?

Personal comments

I always wonder when a product is packaged in a black container whether it is intended to be marketed to men. I don't think so in this case.

The ingredients of Pink and Moist are comparable. Both list Dimethicone as the main ingredient and contain other silicone ingredients. Both contain Vitamin E. Pink contains Aloe Vera.

So while the ingredients and performance of these lubricants are comparable, which one you choose may depend on whether you want the bit of extra thickness of Moist or the Aloe Vera and luxurious glass bottle of Pink. They are both an excellent choice.
