Sugar Free? Really?

This is a wonderful flavored lube for those with diabetes, but it's just too sweet for my taste. Wonderful smell; I just wish it tasted the way it smells.

I have a sweet tooth, and I mean a very serious sweet tooth. My husband has an even more extreme sweet tooth than I do. But even we have our limits.

Now, my hubby and I love flavored lubes as part of our play. We feel it adds to it in a lot of ways and gets us to do new and fun things. So we wanted to try Wet's Sugar Free. It was supposed to not interact with the natural taste that I have because it's sugar free. Great idea in theory, but in execution, it failed.

It has a nice, light, silky consistency to the touch, but it's a bit sticky when on the skin for more than a minute. The smell is wonderful and very bright, with the scent of strawberries and kiwi. A little sweet smelling, but still smelled the way it was supposed to.

The taste was horrid. It didn't taste a thing like strawberries or kiwis. It was just like putting a packet of restaurant sweetener in your mouth and keeping it there. It was so sweet that it gave me a sugar gag when I tasted a drip of it. My husband liked the taste, but also found it too sweet. The flavor also didn't last for more than a lick on the body. One lick and the flavor is gone.

I wish it tasted as good as it smelled. Too bad.

I can actually see if someone is a diabetic and wants to play with flavored lubes, this would be the most perfect thing in the world.

It's safe for use with condoms and toys. It cleans up nicely with soap and water or with an after sex wipe. It also doesn't stain clothes or sheets. It is totally edible and is l-arginine free.

It's got a flip top lid, and it won't spill unless you unscrew the lid a little.

It's made from deionized water, glycerin, carbomer, peg, flavor, propylene glycol, aspartame, hydroxyethylcellulose, imidazolidinyl urea, sodium benzoate, methylparaben, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, tetrasodium edta, aloe vera leaf juice (aloe barbadensis), and tocoph.
Follow-up commentary
I wasn't that much of a fan of it to start with. But I haven't gone back to Wet Sugar Free. There is far better flavored lubes out there on the market.

I've tried the regular and found it sweet, but at the same time strangely bland. A very bizarre combination. I don't like the texture. Ingesting just a little it made me feel a little nauseous
