Climax H2O - lubricant discontinued by Topco Sales - review by DeliciousSurprise

Climax H20 is a water-based lubricant made by Topco Sales. This lubricant can be used with your favorite toys--that's right, all of them, because water-based lubes work well with all your toys. Made of de-ionized water, glycerine, propylene glycol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propyl paraben, this lubricant is not great for people with vaginal sensitivities, due to the glycerine, but works well as a jack/jill off lubricant, and it's great for vaginal sex. I'd recommend something a little thicker and longer lasting for anal sex, though.

The lubricant is odorless and has a very mild super-sweet taste that many water-based lubricants have; I found the taste of this one to be totally bearable compared to the overwhelming flavour of most lubes. I wouldn't want to lick my hands clean, but I didn't find it overwhelmingly awful. Even so, a flavoured lubricant (or a lubricant with no flavour at all) would be better for oral sex than this one, unless you don't mind the trademark water-based lube sweet taste.

Climax isn't runny, or super thick, and has a nice middling texture between the two. I found that it stayed put well enough that I wasn't worried it would drip, but it spread well enough that I wasn't frustrated. Perfect viscosity!



Climax H20 is a fairly successful lubricant, a single drop provides adequate lubrication--though it's not as inherently slick as any silicone lubricant I've tried, and it's a bit less slick than some water-based lubricants. When I applied more lubricant, it did get more slick, but I found that it didn't stay super slick for a long time. The lubricant does need to be reapplied every so often, but not so frequently as to frustrate me. In short, a little goes a long way, but a lot won't give you much more benefit than a little.

The lubricant does get a bit sticky as it dries, but not obtrusive enough to make me want to get up and wash off. If you do want to scrub up after sex, all you need is a damp cloth, as this lubricant is gentle enough to be removed without soap--perfect for the post-coital nappers.

My packaging looks a bit different than the one shown on the product page, as I did not purchase it from Eden, so I've included a visual. I find that this lube, with my packaging, is relatively easy to use, but I can guess that a pump top would make it easier to apply with sticky hands.
