Lace top thigh high - hosiery by Leg Avenue - review by Kaijah

These are very comfortable nylon stockings, which fall into the usual "one size" category. On me, they sit towards the upper part of my thigh, just as shown on Eden’s mannequin photos. This measures in at about a 20-inch circumference, and at about 35.5 inches from my toes to the top of the lace. I laid the stockings out next to a ruler and stretched the top, and the maximum I could reach was a little under 15 inches, which would give them a circumference of around 30 inches on a thigh. They could also stretch a bit longer in length, but not more than a few inches.

Material wise, the nylon used is very soft rather than scratchy. The photos show the opacity well, they're not so low a denier as to be invisible, but not so high that you end up with solid black legs. Any tattoos, scars, bruises or similar sort of markings on your legs will show through. Slight unevenness of skin tone will not show, however, if that is a worry. All in all, these look really stunning on my legs. The lace detail is really sexy, and adds a nice dark "oomph" of texture in contrast to the sheer black gracing the rest of the leg.

There aren't any rubber grippers in the tops of these nylons, which means you will need a garter for long-term wear. Personally, I find this a bonus, and if you dislike the feel of stockings that dig in and stick to your legs, you'll likely find this beneficial as well. They'll stay up for a bit on their own, but if you're going to be walking around a lot, they'll slide down sooner rather than later.

I've ordered a couple pairs, because after a dozen or so hard wearings, they will start to deteriorate as all nylons tend to do. Little runs and snags from zippers or fingernails are the first to show, but they do not immediately split up the length. In fact, I've found they have good resilience in this area, and small nicks don't usually rip unless stressed heavily. I tend to wear them under boots, and they shield my skin nicely without adding any bulk or heat, while standing up fairly well to both naked and covered zippers. They have less luck standing up to nails, though, so if your partner has a habit of clawing down your legs, they'll likely snag rather badly. If you only want to wear them as lingerie around the house rather than out and about as I tend to do, they can easily last even longer than what I get out of them.

I have also noticed after ordering a few sets, they sometimes come with little imperfections. This has always been in the lace top – there will be a few spots that are very slightly frayed, or the seam on the lace will not be perfectly sewn. However, for 5 bucks a pop, I haven't found anything better than what Leg Avenue is offering here. They last long enough that they are worth a re-buy when they do finally get a noticeable run.
