Star gazer chemise - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by Mamastoys

Escante has a beautiful chemise in the Star Gazer. In the information column of EF site, it lists the chemise as "one size fits most." However, it comes in small, medium, and large. I chose the large size even though I fell within the medium size as well. According to the sizing chart, the large should fit sizes 10-14, cups C and D, bust 36-38, waist 32-34, hips 34-36, and weight between 140-160. The medium size should fit sizes 6-10, cups B and C, bust 34-36, waist 28-30, hips 32-34, and weight between 120-140. My measurements fall in between the two sizes and from past experience, I thought the large would fit better. I'm glad I went with it even though it is a little bit loose on me, the sizing chart seems to be pretty accurate.

The set comes with the chemise and a G string. The G string is made similar to most G strings. It starts out with 5 1/2 inches of mesh/lace material and gradually decreases to 1 inch. The panty liner is 2 inches wide and 3 inches long. The strap that goes around the hips is 30 inches around and is very stretchy.





The chemise has adjustable straps that range from 9 inches to 16 inches long and they are stretchy so they can accommodate more sizes easily.



The bust is a beautiful combination of mesh and lace in a beautiful shade of teal. In the center of the bust area is a small white bow, adding just enough contrast to be noticed, yet not offensive.



The cups have under wires but no padding. This allows of support to even heavy dense breasts. The widest area of the cup is 5 inches wide. The bust cup is 6 inches from the straps to the under wire. The chemise is 28 inches around with a row of elastic going from the under wires to the back of the chemise. There are 7 inches from the end of the under wire to the side seams. Between the side seams in the back is a band of elastic, much like a regular bra. The good thing about this is there is no hooks, snaps, buttons, or anything else you have fiddle with to get it fixed.



Below the band in the back is a keyhole opening, that is 3 inches across and goes down 7 1/2 inches, just short of revealing the G string band. The opening adds to the sexy look of the chemise.
The length of the chemise from the center of the front to the bottom is 19 inches with the last 7 inches being a soft, dainty lace material. The length of the chemise is perfect, ending just below my butt checks. I have a long torso so I was very happy that it was actually long enough to cover my butt.



The set is made of 89% nylon and 11% spandex (or elastane as it is labeled). The combination allows for stretching and at the same time, is delicate. It's not so delicate that you have to worry endlessly about tearing or picking it. It can be picked with piercings, rings, sharp nails, or other objects but with a little care, you don't have to worry about it. Care instructions include hand washing in cold water, line dry, avoid bleach, ironing, or dry cleaning. The construction of the outfit is well made, with no strings hanging on the ends, no frayed ends, and no missed sewn places.

The set arrived in a white bag with a black plastic hanger. From the beginning, it gave the appearance of something elegant and it did not fail. From the first touch of the soft lace and mesh, until I packed it away, I felt very excited about wearing it. It can be stored on the accompanying hanger or folded and stored in a dresser drawer. It is travel friendly and should not draw any attention in a suitcase or carry on.



I give this chemise 5 stars. There is absolutely nothing negative about this outfit for me. However, for larger women, a negative would be that this is not available in any sizes larger than large.

I ordered this chemise to take with us when we go out of town this weekend. When it arrived, I was excited to try it on. Removing it from the plastic bag and plastic hanger, I slipped it on and fell in love with it immediately. My fear is always how a new outfit will fit my breasts. Even though I have lost a cup size in my bust area, I still have heavy, dense breasts. This outfit quickly eased my fear. The fit was perfect and the stretchy material is forgiving in the entire outfit. I have it packed and ready to go away and will report back on how much hubby likes it in the follow up.
