Star gazer chemise - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by mistressg

I was so happy when I saw this on EF. I feel in love with this when I saw it because of the color. The deep, rich, beautiful blue color! I had seen the Star Gazer teddy, and I though it was pretty, but I am not a fan of teddies. I ended up finding the Star Gazer Chemise on another site and thought it was gorgeous! I hoped that EF would get it, and within that week they did! Lucky me!

I was so excited when it finally arrived! I took it out of the box and it came wrapped in bright pink tissue paper, like so. No bags, no plastic, and the tissue paper can be reused or recycled. :)

I ordered a size large. Generally, that is the size I wear. I have a 38" bust, 30" waist, 40" hips; with a 38 D (or C) cup depending on the brand. According to the Escante size chart, a large should fit a size 10-14, with a C-D cup, 36 - 38 bust, 32 - 34 waist, 34 - 36 hip, 140 - 160 pounds. If you are much bigger than any of these measurements, I would pass on this, since large is the largest size offered. Also, if you are bigger than a D cup, you will probably be busting out of this. When I wear it my nipples are covered by the lace edging, but I suppose if they were bigger they might not be. Since I ONLY wear push up bras, I was a bit worried about how this would fit or flatter my bust. I am not at all flat-chested, but I like the look of a push-up. Even though this has no padding at all, I fill it nicely and think it looks surprisingly flattering. his definitely makes me more comfortable with the idea of a non-push-up top or bra. Overall, I would say this fits true to size, and does not run small. It measures about 23" from the bottom to the very top of the cup.

One thing is that I don't like thongs. Personally, I am not a fan of them, I just don't think they look flattering on most bums. I used to wear them all the time, but I never do anymore. However, I tried this one on with the chemise and it fits well. I has no detailing or lace or anything like that, just plain solid blue, he exact same color of the chemise. It can be seen in this picture of the chemise and thong laid flat. Being that boyshorts are my favorite, I tried the chemise on with a pair of light blue lace boyshorts that I have but they didn't look good together. Then I tried it on with black lace boyshorts, and it looked better not great, and not very sexy at all. Amazingly enough, I like the look of the thong with it more. Or just wearing it by itself, with nothing underneath looks sexy and feels totally comfortable.

Here is a photo of the care instruction tag on the inside of the chemise (the thong is made of same material, so it has the same instructions). It is 84% NYLON, 16% ELASTANE.

I think this could make a cute bridal/bachelorette gift...this could be her "something blue". ;)

I definitely still like this piece. I haven't found anything to dislike! It's very easy to care for, easily to store since it takes up almost no space at all. Comfortable, and I still am in love with the gorgeous color! A very cute piece to add to any lingerie collection.
