Passionate pink chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by Pete's Princess

My husband is a man who likes feminine outfits. The more frilly the better as far as he is concerned. I like a good frill now and then but prefer cleaner lines. This chemise is more toward his side than mine.

I ordered an XL although all of my measurements except for my chest are a M. I have learned when buying Coquette items, I need to order up a size. My husband really liked this and EF was out of the L. I was afraid it might be discontinued, so I went for the XL. I figured I could always take it in if it was too big.

There are four removable garters that have plastic components. They adjust from 6"-9".
The straps are not removable and adjust from 12" to 20"

Design
The chemise is pink with black accents. The color is true to the product page.

The cups have an underwire and are padded. They are demi-cups so do not give full coverage. There are three columns of hook and eye closures in the back to adjust the fit. The straps have two 3" pieces of elastic that meet at a bow and attach with a plastic connector to the rest of the strap. The remainder of the strap is a standard 3/8" bra strap. The inside of the cups are plain white and the outside is a gathered pink mesh with black trim and lace round the top.

There is a removable black bow between the cups.



Down the center is a pink satin fabric that is not see through. There is black piping down both sides of the center portion. The rest of the chemise is pink see-through mesh. At the bottom is black floral lace with gathered pink mesh to cover the seam. There are two black removable bows at the bottom of the center section.



Material
82% Nylon and 18% Spandex exclusive of the trim. Hand wash cold and hang to dry. Do not use bleach, put in the dryer or iron this chemise.

Packaging
This chemise comes in a clear bag with Coquette written across it in small silver letters. It has a hang tag with a picture of the model wearing it on the front. In a small zip lock baggie is the four garters.

My husband likes frilly lingerie and this fits the bill. He likes me in pink. I do not like pink. However, being a blonde, I must grudgingly admit that pink is a very good color on me. This is especially cute. My husband gives it two thumbs up plus one other body part up. He liked the design a lot. He prefers to unwrap his package so tends not to like completely see through lingerie. You cannot see through the middle section or the cups. The rest is see-through. He likes this combination. I like that the middle hides my little tummy pooch. You can see your panties through the sides and back. He also liked the gathered mesh and lace on the cups. He always enjoys bows on his package and this one has three. I liked that the bows are removable so it is more comfortable to sleep in.

I am glad that I got the XL because the cups are just the right size for my 34Ds. I would say these will fit a C to a DD comfortably. The band and waist are a bit looser than I would like. However, I am willing to make the compromise so that I am not falling out of the cups. I may end up taking it in just a bit when I get up the gumption. I hate bending over and falling out or waking up in the middle of the night with my breasts fallen out and tangled up in my lingerie. It is quite uncomfortable. I did not have any problem with this chemise. I could sleep or have sex in it and it stayed on. It also did not ride up when I was not wearing the garters.

This is a wonderful chemise. It is one of the most comfortable pieces of lingerie I own. The only drawback that we found with this is that the lace at the top of the cups is a bit stiff. I think it is stiff so it will sit up. I could not feel the lace when I was wearing it but my husband did notice it when he was touching it.
